Why cant we sign a 5 star QB. We are seriously loaded in all positions except the most important?

Because the coaching staff hates you.

Those guys aren't super keen to come to a place with 11 attempts a game and a bad track record.

what came first, the chicken or the egg. maybe if we had a qb that could throw accurate passes, we'd pass more.

we've had accurate qb's in the past (Flynn, for one) and have shown no hesitation to sling it.

at one time, all qb's knew they were going to be a back up for awhile. they also ran high school systems that required reading the defense. now, many qb's are system guys that expect to start day 1. like the aggie guys that left.

You missed the point. The point is we haven't had success and we don't throw the ball a lot any more. The question was why we can't recruit top prospects at quarterback. I'm not sure pointing three coordinators and nine years ago back is going to impress today's recruits. You can't really sell a recruit on we might one day return to throwing the ball 29 times a game.

Our last successful passing year was 2013 and we still only had 24 attempts a game.

Well then the coaching staff needs to look at the criteria they're using to rate a QB. I mean seriously, those kids dont invite themselves down and award themselves scholarships.
