Why would we allow Braxton to slip to Bama?

We obviously need Braxton Miller more than Bama, why haven't we gone after him, or even expressed a passing interest?

We already have problems developing the two qbs we got so you want us to take a guy with 1 good shoulder with one year of eligibility left? Our time needs to be used developing the two guys we have. Let Bama have them this is up there alley the can make anybody put up good numbers at the qb position.

isn't it possible Miller may not even be able to throw until August and maybe never again at the collegiate level? If that's the case, why would we try to prevent him going to Alabama. Sure didn't seem to matter last year the biggest talking point all offseason was them signing an FSU transfer that couldn't beat out a converted running back for the starting job.
