It is the WR route tree that needs to be reworked and no stretch plays in the running game.
Why they don’t have more slants/crossing routes with WR…especially Boutte is concerning.

Who?
tessitore and bama QB. they were talking about the convo they had with Kelley and denbrock before the game (or the week leading to the game).

Read options require the line to block run, and the quarterback is reading a defensive lineman. RPO is similar to the read-option, but instead of reading a defensive lineman, the quarterback is reading a linebacker to throw the football or hand it off, while the lineman is blocking for a run.

I think it was during the 2nd half. AT one point, the broadcasters were talking about how they had spoken to BK and his coaching staff. Apparently, BK stated they asked JD about what plays he was comfortable running and that's what the offense mostly consists of. The plays he wasn't comfortable with have been taken out. Just go back and re-watch the game, I'm not sure of the exact time stamp.
Also, watch BK's press conference from today where he acknowledged that JD has to be more aggressive. He talks about how we haven't thrown an INT yet but that that can also mean we're not being aggressive enough. Basically JD will need to make some throws into tight windows and that he can't only attempt passes when a WR is wide-open.
I wouldn't be surprised is Nuss started getting more and more playing time as the season progresses. I doubt he overtakes JD but unless JD starts taking more chances (with good results), his playing time will begin to diminish.

At this point I wish they would just tell him what receiver to throw it to in the huddle. No reading the defense or going through progressions just drop back a throw to a specific receiver. I know they can't do that the whole game by I wish they would try it for a few plays. Just tell him throw to Boutte on this play or whoever. I think he would do much better not having to make a decision and just throw it.

I think we'll see a more aggressive JD after listening the BK's presser. He openly admitted we've been too conservative on offense and that not throwing INT's can be good but also can be a sign that we're not attempting to throw into tight windows.
I feel your pain though. Hopefully the light comes on for JD against UT.

Sprinter's starting blocks aren't allowed on the field.
