Saw this video this morning on youtube, it's really well done and pretty in-depth about Burrow's last season at LSU. It goes in-depth about his stats every game and sets up each game's importance really well.

It's crazy how we never truly felt stressed all season long because no matter what #9 was not going to let us lose.. or even give up a lead in the 4th quarter. GOAT.

It's annoying when people say this like they could possibly know. It's only ever plausible if the sport undergoes a significant rule change.

Love Joe Burrow obviously, but these click bait titles that speak in absolutes get on my nerves. Burrows single season yards record already got broken for example.

Yeah by a Western Kentucky qb and did you even watch that game there was zero defense being played. That record should come with an asterisk Joe did it against the very best

watched a bunch last week and realized there hasn't been an offense that looked that smooth and effortless since.

We’re talking about season records here bro, not individual game records. Try to keep up.

I had planned to come home this afternoon to seduce my wife (no pics) into some afternoon delight, but now I have no need for her. Thanks OP!

And because no team had the ball in the 4th quarter with a chance to take a lead. Not one team. And only Florida, very early in the 4th quarter, had the ball with a chance to tie.

Of all the things LSU did that year, this is the one that will never be matched - not against that level of competition.

Wasn’t the game tied with Texas until Jefferson scored on a very long TD?

I’d say that game was very losable.

We won't see receivers like those again, not on the same team at the same time, just while we're on the subject of 2019 LSU.

But, at the end of the day, I had growing confidence with every game, because I knew my guy (#9) could beat their guy. I remember thinking in the Bama game, "Can they score 50 on us? Because they're going to have to in order to beat my guy."

No. We were trading scores with Texas, but I think, technically, they never had the ball in the 4th Quarter with a chance to take the lead.

Texas scored near the end of the 3rd, closing to within 2, then we scored to make it 30-21 early in the 4th. Traded touchdowns and then they effectively conceded with 6 minutes left by kicking a meaningless FG to close it to 37-31. One more TD by each closed scoring out.

The other interesting thing about that game is - after LSU punted on its first drive (it was 20-7), all the other drives resulted in scores until the end of the game.
