I wrote too long of a post to not share my revived optimism.

This post is going to be way too long and all over the place. But I have to share my renewed passion.
I have the LSU Holy Ghost on top of a few drinks and apologize for nothing.

I've been a hater this year but I just call it like i see it. I never stopped supporting the team or players. I just didnt think they were a good team because of the way they are coached. But enough about that.

This game was a good example of what makes LSU football in Tiger Stadium so unique. The stadium wasn't full but the electricity in the air crept back in after halftime. It had nothing to do with who was coaching on the sidelines. Georgia and Auburn in 03 were the greatest I've been to because of that indescribable feeling, like an electric charge in the air. An aura over the campus. It's almost impossible to beat LSU when this happens.

The key to it all is when the players and the fans connect during a game in Tiger Stadium. It's a phenomenon that occurs in only a few places but I know for a fact it happens in Death Valley.

There aren't many feelings better than when you are watching the game and you start getting chillbumps before anything even happens. You sense it and so does everyone else and the players feed off it. You are no longer a spectator. You are now a part of the game itself.

I'll never forget what happened against Georgia in 03. All day long and during the game, the atmosphere had that same electric feel.

I have been a diehard LSU fan my whole life. I was as passionate as there was. But my true awakening to the impact of LSU football on my heart wasn't on a game winning score or a championship game. It happened right after Georgia's last score. It was a devastating blow that would be a kill shot most times. But for some reason I immediately knew LSU was about to win. Everyone knew.

They score but the Football God's decided to make it a religious experience. I automatically started chanting L-S-U as loud as i could in the student section. Then i heard everyone else. I honestly thought I was the one who started the booming L-S-U chant that took over the whole stadium after Georgia scored. But every single person there also thought they were the one who started it. The truth is we were all right. If you were there, then you know what I'm talking about. Believe what you want but I saw this with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears. Every person in there spontaneously started the L-S-U chant in perfect unison at the same exact time. No cues or preplanned. It was the power of LSU and the stadium that took over our words. No exaggeration. I stll get chills when i think of it. Greatest feeling I've ever had in sports.

Of course LSU went down and scored on the Mauck to Green play in exciting fashion but the game was won as soon as that chant started. Georgia had no chance and everyone knew it including them.

Today's game found a little of that magic and I'm excited again. My feelings about the head coach hasn't changed but this had nothing to do with coaching. It's above coaching. The players, the fans, the band, the coaches, Mike the fricking Tiger, the concrete and bleachers, the stadium workers, the grass, the former Tiger Greats, the Chinese Bandits, the former coaches Bo Rein and even Les Miles become a single living breathing entity that takes over the game. It's spiritual and feels like religion.

The football Gods have shown the team and true fans that a truly special season is still there for the taking if everybody is onboard and ready to do their part. I'm in.

The football Gods only gave this glimpse to show the way. They believe in a team that lost to Troy so that tells me that regardless of the coach, we are about to witness some great LSU football this year.

I'm so bipolar about LSU. Two weeks ago i really thought LSU wouldn't win another game. Now i seriously think LSU is about to put it all together and start blowing people out. And I even think they are gonna beat Bama as of now. Earlier I thought it would be a 50 pt loss.

Devin White has the LSU Holy Ghost and will destroy Bama's offense and will to play. The God's have annointed him to be the destroyer of the Bama dynasty and all who stands in his way. Hell, give him some carries because as the annointed destroyer, he has no weaknesses and will decimate Bama's defense also.

It feels good to be this proud of our boys again. Even our head coach can't stop this teams destiny.
