As an LSU fan you notice the LSU guys that leave early. Outside of top guy's you won't notice or know the guys that leave early from Ohio State, USC, Texas or even say Georgia or Alabama.

Also, LSU is among the most talent teams, so we have a lot more NFL prospects.

but in the recent past we have had many leave that probably could've increased their stock

Just because a guy is not drafted in the first round does not mean he could always improve his stock a lot depends on his position. He is not going to get bigger or faster playing an extra year in college.

you can say we haven't gotten lucky and had a "mosely" or "barrow" stay.

You mean like Sam Montgomery. Glen Dorsey. Marcus Spears. Corey Webster.

A lot of times the guys leaving early who aren't sure first rounders won't be academically qualified to play next season. We never hear about shitty grades because they leave.

Rueben Randle for starters

He was drafted by a pass happy team that won the Super Bowl last year and has been getting playing time. An extra year may have been good for LSU fans, but would not necessarily have helped his draft stock. He was projected as a late first rounder early in the process, but dropped on some boards because of issues that had nothing to do with college production.

Offensive players may leave early due to no upside.

Yes, but not because of the reason you think. NFL do not care as much about stats as you guy's think. Montee Ball was a 3rd rounder at best after the 2011 season, he ran for almost 2000 yds had 39 TD's.

The kids these days are looking to leave after their junior season...i think it is part of the aura that surrounds LSU...that if you are good you can possibly be a first round pick...MO MONEY, MO MONEY, MO MONEY!!!!

My question is do you actually pay attention to what happens at any other schools to even make this comment? Or are you just making it bc Moseley is coming back to Bama? LSU players haven't even declared yet...how so you know we won't have some surprises this year??

Go look at the frat round of last years draft and tel me that players don't leave other schools early.

Chad jones should have stayed. I think RR could have been a first rounder if he had stayed.

I think you at gonna see more nd more RB go early. Their draft value overall has dropped and thy know they have to keep their mileage down to play for that second contact

I agree. Also, Coaches at LSU should make it a guideline that unless you are a first rounder you should stay, that is what Saban tellshis players.

He was projected first rounder after last season, he slipped because of some mediocre workouts and questions about his work ethic. Also going in the first does not always mean more than double the money. I mean if you make 750K for 2 years its the same as making 0 and then 1.5M. Plus the sooner you get to the league, the sooner you get your 2nd contract.

A blanket standard like that is not a good idea, you should look the players individually. Kevin Minter for example is probably a 2nd rounder, but he can't improve his performance. He already graduated, he's not going to get faster or taller. So even if he did come back, he probably would not improve his draft position. Same with Ware. even if he was a feature back, he would not improve his draft position. See Ball from Wisconsin.

It is all about the money, but many of these players are not going to get the amount they are thinking they will.

Only Sam is near ready, the rest should all stay.
