I think that's obvious to the fans you deem pathetic but is it obvious to the head coach? With Leonard returning I honestly don't foresee a huge philosophical change in our offense.

bowl games meant the world until miles started to lose them.
now they're meaningless
now they're meaningless

I Agree Some on here think they run the program, and know everything about LSU football. Not every program is going to win the NC every year and programs do regress, but its how you play the game is what has most fans upset. If we had completed at a high level in every game I wouldn't be as disappointed as I am. But its football and not everything is perfect. You have pick ur self up and keep going forward. I will always support the tiger win or lose.

They left game because the way more talented team was getting whipped by a bunch of 2 and 3 star talent.

It's meaningless when we all know it's going to be pure frustration. Why put yourself through open heart surgery without anesthesia

criticizing miles for his in game tactics (among other things) and such don't mean I don't cheer on my team. QB development and positional depth concerns are legit worries and criticisms, imo.
now I do realize some go way overboard but every fanbase has that legion to it.
heck, do some of these holier than thou fans criticize payton, and bitch and moan at the saints when they lose? of course they do, it doesn't mean they're not worthy fans.

A good way of weeding out the pathetic fans is if they call any game "meaningless". They have fully adopted the loser mentality.

repeat from the ignorance post:
dude, if you haven't figured out the average iq of the negatigers, you need to read more rant.
this is louisiana w/ the 49th intelligence level.
these guys don't even understand what their own ignorance means. they are not happy campers because they want to blame someone else for their personal unhappiness. the negativity is a deflection from looking at their own low self esteem.
loving comes from loving.
hate comes from hate.
haters gotta hate.
compassion comes from being compassionate.
they deny and refuse to accept their personal pain and lay it on a blog.
this rant is a valuable tool for self-compassion!
i use the rant to feel better about myself by practicing compassion for those in pain!

NextYearU. Teach your son to accept mediocrity like you do. Let's see how that works out for him in the real world.
You see, THIS is the fricking problem. I do not believe that anybody "accepts" mediocrity. Unlike you, most of us realize that we have absolutely no control over the coaches, players, or administration at this university. I refuse to believe that anybody in that football building accepts mediocrity. If you truly believe that, you, sir, are extremely stupid and narrow-minded. Get the frick over yourself. This is not about being a Les Miles supporter. This about being a supporter of LSU football regardless of who is coaching or on that field. Try and do that, and if you can't find some other team to be a "fan" of so you can tear down whatever team but ours. Thank you.

Most bowl games are meaningless due to how many there are now. I think there will be at least two 5-7 teams that will play in bowl games.
Losing 3 games in a row by double digits, 2 in a row to Arkansas and 5 in a row to Bama is just inexcusable.

Since the soccer moms and Facebook queens crying over poor Les was a major reason for keeping him, me thinks you are wrong again.

My gosh how dumb are you?? Your response completely confirms the OP topic. Like you, I was not happy about what happened in any way shape or form. But unlike you, I'm over it and I'm ready to support the team moving forward. If you can't understand that was the point of the whole thing, supporting the team no matter what, then you are truly, truly stupid or just extremely ignorant and will literally complain about anything. I'm sure if we went undefeated and won the NC you would find something to complain about. If you are this miserable about the team and can't support them no matter who is coaching or playing, please show yourself the door and don't let it hit you on the arse on the way out.

My son said something similar. He said, "You know, dad, Arkansas
Yup and my nephew says, "why do we run the same plays over and over? Why can't Miles try something different?"
It's amazing how even a kid understands that doing the same thing over and over while getting our arse beat in the same fashion is dumb as shite.

Fans and players have different goals/agendas so you really cannot lump the two together. For a fan, yes, the bowl is meaningless because every year there is hope for success and you see underachieving. Then the fan removes their emotions from the games which allows them to leave the (arkansas) games early when they see the gap in coaching on the field. \
For the players, it does mean alot...it's travel, goody bags, time in the spotlight if you are on the NFL radar, and it's the last game of the season.
You have valid points....football has changed from back in the day when you could be a casual fan. It's so much more competitive and there's so much money involved. People know, if they bitch, they can get what they want. The internet gets you so much more information, so quickly, that everyone has become arm chair athletic directors.
Tasting titles has changed the fanbase as well. It's shown people what the program is capable of. this is where the entitlement comes from.
I don't particularly think the record has been a disappointment as of the last few years. It's the "way" the loses went down.

I'm not accepting mediocrity. Never have. Am I disappointed in the way the last 4 weeks went? Absolutely! Does a change need to be made? Yes. Can I, in any way, shape, or form affect the decision makers in the administration/BOS in making that decision? No. Can you? Nope. Can I, in any way, shape, or form affect the decisions the coaches make? No. Can you? Nope. Am I going to be miserable because of this? Hell no! Are you? Probably so. And the problem is, people like you are dragging this fan base down which, for a long time, was the best in college football. The players feed off the fans and with a bunch of pathetic "fans" like yourself, we the fans as a whole aren't as effective as we used to be.
