The problem is going to be next year you have 6 sophomores competing for offensive line spots that haven't played a lick this year. You will have Pocic back at center who is getting a lot of play this year that's a plus. Hawkins does seem to be getting better slowly, that will be a plus. Really have to hope Alexander stays for his Senior year. If not you will have to plug in two guys that don't have a lot of experience and you see the problems they are having right now just trying to plug one in.

That was the last time that we were truly competitive for any kind of championship.

How does that not make sense?

Last year, we lose at Ole Miss in mid season and we are done. Then, we get blown out by Alabama.

Not saying that. Just be ready for 3 loss seasons for now on. I don't think Miles is going to adapt his offensive scheme to where the SEC is headed, therefore, we will no longer be at the top of the West let along the SEC. LSU will be 4th or 3rd best in the west for a few years.

Do you think where the SEC is headed means pro style, power teams that play defense can't win anymore? Actually, if you get a properly run, power, pro style offense, with a good defense....you have a significant advantage against these gimmicky spread teams
Do you think Saban can adapt? I mean, he has lost what, three consecutive games to ranked opponents?

I would be more worried about the stigma LSU will get for having a team SO TALENTED they may finish 6-6... Does this mean that Miles is a horrible recruiter or just a bad coach as far as player development???? I really don't know how talented this team is..... And why would we expect anything different next year.............

Where did I say that?

We got better each year from 2008-2011, and we have gotten worse each year from 2012 till the present. That is a fact. Things run in cycles. Can Miles turn it around? I don't know. We have never seen the program actually in decline under him. There was a HUGE dropoff from 2007 to 2008 that could be pinned on RP getting the boot and the DC experiment gone bad. This is different and seems to be more systemic.

I am asking why we should expect a NC run next year. You offer no answer.

Yeah, sure you can win with a pro style offense if you recruit the right talent to run it. Neither of our QBs are pro style qbs. Fournette, isn't a pro style running back. I would have a lot more confidence in Saban correcting his problems than Miles if you want to go there. The real problem is we have a lot of problems right now with player development. This defense should not be as bad as it is. There are lot of upper class men that are sitting on the bench because they haven't panned out.Its going to take another top 10 recruiting class to fix this defense.
As far as the offense next year, you are going to have problems at o-line again.

I dont expect a NC run every year. Sorry, so I dont expect one next year and neither should you.

I doubt it.

Defense is bad because its been replaced 3 years in a row. We'll get better.

CAM is a better OC with a qb like METT, with a stud RB. Miles needs to get his hands OFF the offensive play calling and let CAM do his job.... This team has unproven talent... BUT I can't remember the last time an LSU team got SO physically DOMINATED the way AU did. AU slapped LSU in the mouth and they could not recover... LSU is sore and beat up after last week and FLA is not as beat up... Just sayin........

Plus I heard today that Miles wants to keep Cam in the Booth... I think that is a mistake.. Only because Miles don't want Cam in his face during the games.

1. How Harris and the defense progress throughout the season
2. Who stays and who leaves early
