That's why you play 1 TEAM IN A 3 GAME SERIES. Why is Army trying to play 4 games this weekend against 3 different teams? LSU has put themselves in a bad spot (4 less innings on a weekend when you'd like to get as many guys in the game as possible) because of trying host 2 different teams this weekend instead of 1.

Yes they are. 1 yesterday at Alex Box, 2 in Nola today, and 1 tomorrow back at the Box. But I don't think their travel plans were nearly as crazy.

Hey Paul...it's Army. These guys can invade a Middle East country in 110 F temperatures. If not..we have serious problems with our armed services.

Also, like another poster said, Army is not a fully "stocked" school like a SEC school or any other bigger school. Add that, along with the travel they have and it being the opening weekend, it's easy to see why they are only playing 7 innings for the double header.
What's more concerning is that a portion of our fan base will bitch about anything. It's beautiful weather, opening weekend and a double header now to kick it off. Sit back, relax and enjoy it. Baseball is now here and will rescue us from the hell that has been basketball season.

LSU wins 9-0, Lang looked good, we had 2 HR's, no errors, bunch of freshmen got to play. And LSU fans here are pissed. At first I thought, just trolling. But some of you clowns are so anxious to attack CPM that you jump on THIS issue? I pretty much guarantee you, this time next week no one will remember this B.S.

Back in the early 90s they used to play two 9-inning games on Saturday, and a 7-inning game on Sunday. There were no Friday games.
They can easily play two nine inning games on a Saturday.

I wouldn't have anything against 2 9 inning games, of course. But let me ask, what's the point of it right now? It's the opening weekend of a long season, Army has already done a lot of traveling and has many more miles ahead of them this weekend. Regardless of how badass they are and what kind of career they chose, it just seems unnecessary to make them travel that much and play 2 full 9 inning games this early in the season.
This weekend is more about honoring the armed services than anything else. Although, that beat down of Army was kind of harsh.
Just curious from y'alls perspective of why it's such a big deal that we aren't playing 2 full games? Considering circumstances, seems perfectly legit to me.

Dude, our future military leaders had to travel A WHOLE HOUR in an uncomfortable Greyhound. How could you expect them to play two 9 inning games today?!?! Have some respect for our military!!!

CPM made it clear in today's paper that all 4 coaches had a say in the schedule for the wkend with the rain outs last nite. Safe to say the Army coach knows his players better than anyone else & his only obligation is to his players, not some jerk off LSU fans who did not go to the game and/or saw it on tv. Safe to assume, too, with the bad weather up north, this may be the first time his players are seeing grass, let alone playing a game on it. The Air Force & tulane HC's had a say in the schedule as well. CPM did not unilaterally decide on his own, over any possible objections or suggestions from the other 3 HC, when to play the games.
