Dude, go frick yourself. Please root for another team. I forgot les miles is a player. If you havent noticed, we arent as talented as the bamas and fsus of the world, and thats according to every recruiting service. We werent as talented as uf when meyer was there and auburn has also had higher rated classes the last 2 years.

WTF? This is one of the most muddled posts I've ever seen on TD. Is this a defense of Miles or an indictment? You do, of course, realize that the head coach is ultimately responsible for recruiting. So if LSU is being outrecruited by divisional rivals, the blame lies with...Les Miles.

the defense actually takes a step back b/c the D backfield is inexperienced (assuming Loston is hurt for at least a good part of the season).

Meh. Ronnie Vinson or Micah Eugene will come on and be fine at S in that case.

The real problem in the secondary is at the third corner spot. Last year, we were able to bring on Simon at let Mathieu play nickel.

Next year, Simon will start, and we'll rely on Jalen Collins. There has been a lot of hype of Collins, but based on the spring game I'm not really buying it. He got burned a lot by Landry in that game.

We absolutely must find that third corner, both to free up Mathieu to make plays and so we can play the nickel, our preferred formation in most cases.

If Collins won't cut it, Dwayne Thomas or Derrick Raymond might (both true freshmen).

Mett tries to throw deep every play, resulting in 18 ints. Freak doesn't live up to the hype. The loss of Claiborne is too much.

The Lb playbook is very small probably 30 pages, if that. I'm not worried about the backers.

Yep...75-18...most wins by a BCS school since o5.

Most wins by an SEC school since 05.

Most SECW titles since 05.

As many SEC titles since 05 as any school.

And on and on...recruiting and the current elite status of LSU football "lies with...LM."

You are so right.

But I just had a feeling it was too good to be true and the real Les would shine through, and unfortunately he did. I am fairly certain Les will find a way this year to blow what should be a national championship season, AGAIN.
You don't like Miles. We get it.

When Finebum kept predicting the Tigers to lose every week I felt confident every game except when we had to replay Bama.

Keep showing disrespect, I like it and how the Tigers shut them up.

Joking????

No - clearly the OP wants us to wargame the most likely reasons - I listed 2 general (Offense improves, but defense is not as good as last year, also, LSU has historically gotten an OL injury bug from time to time.) I listed three possible losses - MSU (they played us as tight as anybody but Bama last year), Arkansas (whom every seems to have written off, forgetting it is arguable they were the 3rd best team in the country last year) and of course Bama.

Had I suggested Ole Miss stops us in 2012 - THAT would have been joking.

The reasons why LSU is #1 and will finish #1 have been discussed adnauseum. For a change of pace, what do you all think the reasons are that LSU won't make the BCS NCG or perhaps even the SEC CG?

Relax, by participating this won't mean you are a Nega-Tiger or even a true fan. It's meant for a change of pace or to elicit some realistic responses
