LSU is on its, I believe, 3rd Aussie punter in a row.

For those that don't know about Aussie Rules Football, check out the 2016 AFL Grand Final highlights:

The kicking for scores and passing are unreal sometimes - either foot, on the run, while getting tackled (with no pads).

Also, of course, rugby kicking:

Punting is probably easy in comparison...

Everyone's getting an Aussie punter now. Dude who won punter of the year at ASU is an Aussie.

How many Americans train to kick punter-style from the time they were little?

They either play soccer or pick it up later.

Ehhhh. He went from horrible, to inconsistent, to good. Had a couple really good punts.

Did you watch the Auburn game? Auburn fans were cheering when he came on the field because they knew good field position was coming their way.

I love the days when LSU could beat Florida and Auburn 50-10 or thereabouts. That was glorious.

That's happened very rarely. I think LSU kicked both of their asses in 2011. Also auburn in 2015 but it's not like there was a stretch where the team was destroying both Auburn and Florida. I wish it were like that though.

ESPN did a story on this. There is a guy in Sydney who runs a punting school for HS kickers and he has placed over 35 of his kickers at NCAA Div 1 schools.

Growden is only good in between the 40s. If he has to flip the field, he sucks!!! In my opinion the past two Aussies have been average at best.

3 punts over 60 yards says you are incorrect.

He also had almost no touchbacks the last 5 games.

53 yard punt against Missouri, 57 yard punt against Ole Miss....like I said, bad early, but really turned it on throughout the season.

He only allowed 6 punt returns in our last 7 games (no returned punts against Florida or TAMU)
