What’s your problem? I’m just asking a question about kickoff time.

Because your question is annoying, particularly in the use of the word "odd" in the subject-line. And it has been shown to be lame, by numerous posters on this thread.

A mid- or late-afternoon kickoff of a big-time SEC game is anything but unusual. It is, in fact, the most common occurrence.

You associate it with an NFL kickoff, as if that matters in the least. And even if that had any bearing, the NFL has late-afternoon kickoffs.

And you act like this is a new thing. Pay attention.

I respectfully disagree with your assertion. I don’t find it to be annoying. Apologies to those posters that were annoyed by this, but that wasn’t my intention.

We accept your apology. Thank you for the graciousness.

Note, we would have accepted the following posts, without argument:

Why is the SEC Championship Game kickoff at such an odd time of the day? I mean.. 9:15am?? What gives?

Say whay??? The SEC Championship Game kickoff is at 11:30pm? That is motherfricking ODD!!!

ACC is at 7:30

Because no one will be watching. Fans will jump from SEC to Big 10. ACC - lowest ratings for a Power 5 Championship game this year?

Dude... You have been following football way too long to have to ask a question like this.

Undoubtedly. Poorly attended too.

I recall an ACC CG between Georgia Tech and Wake Forest that had maybe 35,000 in the stands in Jacksonville. I don't care if the paid attendance shows higher.. the place was half empty.
