Because a few money men and the AD bit off more than they chew and made it public knowledge. NO sane person would fire Miles after this season, but at seasons end the ultimatum should be given and nothing less than SEC West champions in 2016 is acceptable.

It's time for you Les to earn the money you extorted.

Les did what was best for Les by using Arkansas to get him this fat buy out. Now LSU is doing what's best for LSU and lining up its ducks before making a move.

No, we don't. Fisher isn't coming, Dabo isn't coming, etc. If you're not going to be happy with Herman or Fuentes, Isuggest you start preparing yourself from the coming disappointment.

Rational fan checking in here. I personally don't believe Jimbo is coming. However, I'm just a fan so I could be wrong. If he is coming, I hope we don't find out prior to the A&M game. We still have one game left on the regular season schedule left to play. As a fan, I'm supporting the team wearing purple and gold and the coaches leading those players on the sideline. If Jimbo comes aboard, I'll support him too but I don't personally need to know that before this last regular season game. Finding out during the period prior to the bowl game after the regular season provides a much easier transition for everyone involved IMO.

I agree, why would he leave FSU? so he can come here win a bunch of games and as soon as he pisses the wrong boosters off get fired? Not like LSU is going to pay the guy Saban money anyway! IF they fire LES they might be back on track in 8 years!

Miles has been here for 11 years.

Miles didn't just piss off a booster and get kicked out.

Scone man this is how alleva does things. He waits until the season is over to make a change.

Miles isn't retiring or being fired this year. This is all for nothing at this point.

Yep. I don't know why everyone thinks les should be treated with kids gloves. He certainly didn't with us.

I have no idea, but do you realize that Jimbo has said there are only two programs he would leave Fl. St. for? LSU is one of them.

Surely the Texas A&M game is not going to change anything.

But we still have to play the game. That takes precedence over some whiny fans.

While that sounds good in theory, a lot of damage can be done to the football program by not either backing the head coach or cutting bait.

I hope he knows what he is doing because if he doesn't the next person to visit the guillotine will be Mr. Alleva.

No, no its not a lateral move. The only thing FSU offers is an easier schedule which may be enticing to some. But FSU is not LSU in budget, assistant pay, facilities, one horse state or conference affiliation.

I really don't know for sure but is it even legal to contact a college coach before their season is over? I thought that was a big part of what happened with Chavis and the bowl game last year. I'm not one to regularly engage the intricacies of these kind of things but I always thought that was a thing. Is it not?
