I still don't understand why people think that Jimbo would walk away from FSU for LSU. It's a lateral move at best to a school in a much tougher conference to win.

Maybe because Jimbo said there are only TWO jobs he would leave FSU for, LSU and Bama. That is why!!!

You can contact agents and communicate through them that is why all coaches act like they do not know

This is going down before the A&M game. Les and Sumlin are switching jobs. Chief and Les had this planned all along!!

More than likely it has to do with a season still under way. After the Championship games are played you will see things heat up across the nation in hires. What coach with any class accepts a job with only two games to go unless a mutual agreement has been made with their current institution.

The only thing making LSU look like a dumpster fire are the fans wanting an immediate fire and hire. That shite is not going to happen. If we do indeed pull the plug and go in a different direction then I want this search to run its course in finding the right guy. We are assuming we are hiring a college coach. What if it comes from the pros then it will be sommetime in late December before we could name the coach. Just my thoughts

They are talking to employed candidates who have games this weekend.

Surely you understand why all parties would prefer these discussions go on behind closed doors.

People need to take the purple and gold glasses off. You are 100% correct. I honestly believe if this thing goes into January then we are going to get a pretty good coach. An immediate hire within a week of Miles leaving would concern me excluding a Jimbo type hire. I think after the conference championship games things will pick up.

3 losses and he stays. 4 is the tipping point.

Ok here is the deal. Jimbo is going through a divorce due to his wife sleeping with a black assistant coach at Florida St. This is more the reason he is ready to leave Florida St. Ed Orgeron is leaving now for the head coach at Syracuse. It's pretty much a done deal and will be announced soon. Very soon.

These things take some time. Terminating and installing new multimillion dollar contracts don't happen with the snap of a finger.

I think they've got him. I don't care for Alleva but i don't think he would let it get this far if he didn't have his target.

A lot of pieces in play. And they aren't just gonna outright fire Miles while the regular season is still in play. He's done too much for the University to deserve that.
