Our Resume is much better than our fans would think since we are not playing for a National Seed, but compared to other non conference winner at-large teams, LSU destroys them.

Record: 31-19 (10-16)
RPI: 20
SOS: 2 (Arkansas is #1 but if you look at our opponents combined wins, it’s 1359, which is 49 more wins than Arky and over 100 wins more than the rest of the country.)

The SEC is the toughest conference, BY FAR, on baseball this year and we still managed 10 wins, with a chance at 14

How the hell can they pass on us with such a strong schedule and losing our top MLB prospect pitcher in week 3?

16 Conference losses and 4 games remaining, guaranteed losing season in conference and OOC schedule was very weak.

SOS doesn’t matter if you don’t beat those good teams

What has this team done to deserve post season play?

There are 7-8 SEC teams with better conference records.

LSU is being roadblocked by Kentucky and Georgia right now.

If they have a similar record then they’ll be in that conversation.

They will only take so many teams from one conference. Right now LSU is behind Georgia, Alabama, and Kentucky.

They NEEDED to sweep this weekend to feel comfortable.

Eta: Kentucky has to be the odd man out. They have series losses to LSU and Georgia with zero quality series wins.

Why do you want to make the post season and get hammered by someone so they can jerk off to Beating down LSU in a shitty year?

holy shite I hate the rant. 10 fricking wins and you’re sitting there pretending it’s somehow a good thing. Should they let Vanderbilt football play in a bowl every year because sometimes they get 2 conference wins in the “toughest conference”? What an absolutely idiotic take

SOS has nothing to do with wins and losses. RPI is heavily bias to SOS. Don’t beat the good teams you play, and neither metric is relevant.

Because not making it at all is more embarrassing than making it and losing.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner.
That’s why 14 wins makes you feel ok with series wins over KY and Bama. A couple wins at the SEC tourney and the others bowing out will help as well. You have to take it out of Cohen’s hands.

Have you looked at Baylor’s record. They are projected as a 3 seed.

It's simple actually. They're not winning games, at least consistently. There is talent on this baseball team but I'm thinking pulmonary et al is not developing the great talent they recruit. They have about 3 - 4 really good pitchers, just not a great bullpen. At least not enough to come in and finish off an opponent....you know a Zack Hess type finisher(s). Hitting appears to be improving, but got ways to go.

IMO it speaks more about the quality of the talent and coaching in the SEC than any deficiency on this LSU Baseball Team. I hope they get an invite to regional but hummmm, I don't know?

Having said that, beat Bama!!

Marinara teaches Nothing —- has never taught anything— but he sure throws players under the bus.
Time to bring in new blood that can coach, teach & recruit.
