I was asked this question just yesterday and my stock answer is that there is a common tie in our program since 2000 -- our strength and conditioning coach - Tommy Moffitt. He did it at Miami (National Championship) and at Tennessee (National Championship). I think he makes LSU's players bigger, faster and stronger. I hope no one else discovers him, although I know other teams have tried. I almost hate to post this for fear that someone will discover our little secret. Since Saban and continuing through Miles, our team wins the 2nd half because of their conditioning. He makes 2 star athletes into 5 star NFL players. Our players aren't just fast, they are "game-time and on-the-field fast."

We also have Les Miles, a coach that believes in TEAM and his players believe in the concept as well.

With all due respect, I disagree. 90% of the Bama fans I know were nervous as hell about the LSU game. The idea that all Bama fans were so confident on 11/5 is wrong.
If what you say is true, then how come so many Alabama fans think they are going to win on January 9th.

Because there are a lot of tards on this site. I can assure you, most Bama fans I speak to about the game are not "confident" Bama will win. Sure, some are but not many. Most feel it will be a game that goes down to the last possession.

Our player have this mentality that is so difficult to reach. They respect trust and love each other to the point that they know with a stone cold assurance that the guy next to them will never let them down. That in turns forces and pushes them to make damn sure they never let their team down. They know that if they trust in each other and play the game their coach has drawn that they cannot and will not lose. Call it luck call it gods favor call it skill call it whatever you want because at the end of the day it is just something special.

Enjoy the ride tiger fans around the world this doesn't happen everyday.

Hey Denny;
I was thinking the players! Also, most of the fan base at the game seemed to be shocked they lost! Guess this round you are more worried than the last game in Tuscaloosa? Just wondering....

Chemistry, this team could have imploded with all the distractions and the QB issues but unlike the fans they stuck together and are about to complete the journey of a lifetime.

I think we recruit diff players. I played with a competative nature, but never wanted to be a pro athlete and win championships. That takes an extra drive on and off the field. Bama and LSU are prob way more strict on strength and conditioning programs. Our players never quit and if they get gassed we have someone just as good to step up.

Not to diminish the Tigers' achievements but it's because LSU is in a state that leads the nation in athletes per capita going to the NFL and because there is no one to compete for talent in that state, which in turn leads to

While this is true, per capita is what you have to concentrate on. There are not enough playets in Louisiana to fill an 85 man roster, not enough to compete and win trophies every year. And not every nfl player from louisiana went to LSU.

Dude we got that quan. We are not losing. Usually, that's the kiss of death. Not this year. We are going to steamroll those gumps this year. We are just that much better. It's very predictable. You know it. I know it. Anybody who has really watched this team perform this year in all phases knows it. This is our year. Can't wait for 1/9. I love being a Tiger fan. This is the best TEAM we've ever had.

with lee in at qb against ala. during the nov. game, LSU was going down in flames/ ala.'s goal is to knock jj out of game and have a repeat of 2008!

amen. these young men play together and have great chemistry and support for one another. each person does their job. it really shows on special teams. the value of the basics (blocking and tackling) cannot be overstated. hell, our WR's have been blowing up opponents with their blocking. that is something that crowton didn't give a shite about.

Get off the hate JL wagon (the dude lead us to 7 victories in 2011). How many touchdowns did Jefferson score on Nov 5th? I am watching the replay of the game right now and Jefferson wasn't as exceptional in the Alabama game as most Jefferson lovers make you believe. Brad Wing and the Defense deserve more credit for the win than Jefferson.

I know for a fact this is how I felt in December of 2006. It's natural as a fan to feel like this. This LSU team is very good, no one is doubting that. Bama is very good as well, and I don't think anyone should be doubting that either. 1 play can change a season obviously. That int Reid made could easily have gone the other way to a Bama win.

I'm excited for the game myself, although I still think it should never have happened
