Last season everyone said if jones can't make the tournament in 2015 he should be let go

Now it's 2016.

If he cant make the tournament with simmons Craig and blakeney in 2016, were looking at the most underachieving coach of all time

We had the talent to make the tournament last year.....jones is a joke. Can we keep Patrick and find someone else?
I can't see things getting better, we have at least 2 NBA guys on the roster and neither have improved a smidge.

This team has point guard issues. That's the missing piece.

I must be alone thinking we don't do much next year with either of them -- not what the far optimists believe. I don't understand how next year looks better than NOW. If Martin and Mickey both leave (unlikely but not shocking), we are going to try to win with freshmen and Gray as our 3 keys to winning?

Simmons is impressive, but he's not the first all-everything player I have seen walk through Baton Rouge. The list is long -- expectations-wise anyway.

They're a donut team. NO true big man. Martin plays like a 3 and is one. Mickey is a 3 and plays like a 4. And Holy Richard Krawjewski, Malone and Odo are two of the softest and most uncoordinated players I have ever seen!

Why is everyone upset? Maybe it's because we are a miracle/Georgia meltdown from being 1-3 in conference play, 0-2 at home against inferior teams. The difference is coaching and game planning. Not very bright prospects for the future unless Jones suddenly learns how to coach.

Yea we shouldn't expect to be better next year because they will be freshmen and no one in the country succeeds with freshmen. What an idiotic statement. People that don't keep up with basketball don't need to jump ship and act like they know what is going on. If you cannot get excited about where this program is headed with Simmons, Blakeney, and Victor, then don't keep up with the team at all.

An OT and a made shot and a stop away from being 4-0. You can look at it either way.

Georgia is not that inferior, if you ask me. A&M is easily the 2nd best team we have played thus far in conference play. Their bigs make them a threat to non-physical teams.

We should truly be 16-1 right now. We'd be ranked 11th in the country.

I'm upset that ATM was given an aloof gift win, and earned their first W in Hoops in BR since 1941..

As for upset that this team may be playing itself out of the Dance, I'm not.

They would be promptly dropped on their heads in the very first game due to turnovers, not running good halfcourt sets, and not protecting the rim.

The only good thing about a loss this season is that maybe Martin and/or Mickey will stay for next season.

Do you think those great recruits will keep coming if we keep missing the tournament that they all want to play in?

This is not the NBA. Maybe then I'd be happy not making the postseason because you get a lottery pick. This team is good enough to make the tournament and be a top four team in the SEC. So God Damnit, I want them to make the tournament. Yes--we are not winning it all. But does that mean I have to be happy with a 19-11 season when they have 23-7 talent? I'm not happy with that. I want to see this team get coached up and play to their potential and learn how to not let bad teams steal wins from them. NOW.

I'm not upset. This team has very poor fundamentals, whether it is poor FT, errant passes, or simply just sloppy overall play. They have some talent and that talent can carry them when they are on....but overall, they will lose a lot of games due to poor fundamentals....combined with a low basketball IQ as a whole. It is what it is. I saw it at Missouri....it's pretty clear to anyone being objective...this team doesn't have what it takes to go much of anywhere. If they get a few breaks, they could go 10-8 or even 11-7 in conference....if not, they are likely a solid 9-9 NIT team.

you are getting talent and being good confused. There are a few players on this team that are talented enough to accomplish what you say. This TEAM, however, isn't that good overall, and you are fooling yourself if you thin they are.

Thank you. Some people on here need to take them purple and yella shades off.
