Been watching different shows on espn and sec network and everyone keeps picking Bama over LSU. Now I understand this will obviously work itself out but I'm baffled how our quarterback situation was the major reason for us being a question mark at the beginning of the season yet bama seems to get a pass on their qb situation. I watched the bama a&m game and 21 points of bamas were directly due to a&m mistakes the rest were due to soft run defense. Given the way we have protected the ball and stopped the run how do you with a straight face give the edge to bama nearly unanimously.

Past history predicts future performance. Until LSU actually beats Bama then folks are skeptical.

Well for one, its at Bama

and secondly, Bama has beat LSU 4 straight times

but why does anyone really care what the shows on ESPN think? it will all work itself out in the end

When LSU wins, the so-called experts always find something that Alabama did wrong to blame the win on. It always happens, it's kinda like the big brother syndrome.

Alabama leads series, 49–25–5

Bama has the last 4 in a row.

I don't really care I'm just at a loss about how given the current season performances of these two teams that so many are picking bama. Can't wait for November 7 so this team can shut the doubters up once and for all.

Then don't post this stupid shite, it's obvious why they pick them and it will be like that forever because of history.

Stop with this....LSU has beaten bama 9 out of 14 regular season I believe since turn of century. Miles has beaten them in 05-06-07-10-11. Yes we need this one this year...12 and 14 makes it hard to believe we win because we outplayed bama only to have victory chavisized away from us. I love the fact everyone is all over bama. Bama has some serious issues on offense.....we are beginning to peak on offense....keep special team mistakes in check and LSU will waltz into t town and leave with double digit victory....then my boy....won't be no more doubting LSU.

The problem is that, even if LSU wins, things won't "work themselves out". Perception is reality and we'll hear about the "eyeball test" over and over from the media talking heads. I wouldn't be surprised if LSU beats Alabama but then LSU loses to ATM if the media continues to push the story that Alabama is the better team.

LSU just needs to stay focused and take care of business on the field - it's not worth getting upset about things that are out of your control.

Exactly, for the most part (outside of very few people) they have all been dead wrong about LSU this year.

Last I checked this was a discussion forum. Since I'm just wanting to have a discussion it seems the perfect place to post this.

We are playing Bama there with a probably a pro Bama crew. If it's Ritter's crew that alone could be a 7 point swing.
We will have to play our best game to win.

HOW?
Even after Ole Miss, Bama led LSU in virtually every statistical category except TOM and Rushing. In the last couple of games those numbers have changed. LSU passed Bama in TO, and closed in on TD. I'll bet the trend was lost on the pundits. Regardless, the teams are fairly even and the game is being played there. As in 2011, Bama will be favored.

wouldn't matter because that would be a 2 loss Bama team with no chance at the playoffs
