Why don't we just admit it about our baseball team

Let be honest here. It hurts, but we just aren't good enough to compete with some of these SEC teams.

Who is this we? I've long accepted this this team is garbage. I didn't expect this team to go to Omaha, but there is no legitimate excuse for this team to be this bad. JJ isn't on the hot seat or anything, but ye needs to be feeling some pressure.

There might be no real excuse about this team except that we just aren't as good as other teams. It just isn't there. Look at it honestly.

We are halfway through the SEC season. We have been mediocre so far. Maybe that will get better and we can win 16-17 games. Fans can hope.

I'm happy for the past,but it seems some people just can't accept our performance now. It hurts, but I take good and bad because I'm a good sport fan.

JJ needs some time. Guy hasn’t even begun fielding his first full recruiting class where he has been hands on with the recruits

Tennessee and Arky no. They’re in a league of their own right now. But everyone else in the conference I think we can compete with or beat. Outside those two nobody else has really shown to be dominant in conference play.

It is a big deal. If you are an LSU fan all the sports are a big deal. We just can't win them all. You live with it.

LSU built SEC baseball. Now we are just a middle of the pack program. I guess it is my pride and ego, but I think LSU baseball should always be in the top 4 teams in the SEC conference. Seems embarrassing that Arkansas, Tennessee and Vanderbilt are stronger than our program .

You only named 3 teams better after saying LSU should always be in the top 4.
If only 3 other programs are better doesn’t that mean LSU is 1 of the top 4?

I agree that he hasn't had a full recruiting year to bring in, and work with, his own recruits.
But do we know if he can recruit? I admittedly don't know a lot about his reputation as a recruiter, and LSU isn't exactly working from a position of strength in that regard.
We no longer can rely on reputation to woo players. So many of the teams have more recent success, better facilities and better atmospheres.
Can Johnson recruit and develop players as well as the best programs in the SEC? If not, we're in for a world of hurt.

Lsu isn’t in the top 4 teams. Mississippi state are defending national champions. Arkansas swept us. Tennessee beat us down in the SR last year. LSU hasn’t done crap since 2017. This team got lucky last season in the regionals. Face it, LSU isn’t getting to Omaha with this year’s team.
