Why does the Vandy series start on Thursday?

SEC Network Thurs night tv games usually match the best teams for that standalone type game. I like it and the teams like the exposure too as well.

It sucks for the out of towners but like NFL Thursday night football I don't see it changing
A lot of teams play Thurs Fri Sat for Easter as well

there are 2 series every week that start Thursday now. It's to maximize viewership on tv. It's not a bad thing

I allows for college baseball to be on TV from Thursday through Monday every weekend. It's better than the ACC series that go sat-mon every week for TV.

Neither is football on Mondays this time of year but I still don't want lsu baseball starting a series then.
