ULL has a slim margin of error if they want to host. ULL fans should actually cheer for LSU the better we do the less of a decision the selection committee has to make. If it comes down to a choice of LSU v ULL for a regional host LSU is gonna likely win out.

One more thing uc irvine yes a small conference team is usually a very good team every year

15 years ago when LSU was college baseball. It just doesn't happen nowadays with the way the selection committee and NCAA are trying to expand the game.
Gotcha. I still think we host in the end though.

That made my head hurt. Huh?

LSU has too much pitching to not host a regional this season.
This shouldn't really be a discussion. LSU will host their own as a 1 seed.
ULL may host one. More than likely they go somewhere as a 2 seed.

Ull has to finish top 12 to host I would say likely teams below 16 would get a host over ull. Small conference teams usually don't host even when they finish high

I'm done discussing this
It is very very unlikely ull hosts Lsu

ULL needs to hope it doesn't come down to a choice between LSU and ULL as host sites.
If LSU has great year then this likely won't happen. It wasn't that difficult to comprehend.

ULL
UCLA(another shitty directional school)

UCLA also finished second in the PAC 10 and pretty much forced the NCAA's hand.

So ULL fans should pull for LSU to win so that it makes the decision on which one will host easier and ULL fans won't get their hopes up?
This is the post you made that I'm referring to.....

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm still not comprehending.

Because they are in the same region?
No.
In 2000 Baton Rouge and Lafayette both hosted regional play.
Both advanced to Super Regionals; LSU beat the Number 1 seed from the OK City Regional(UCLA)
ULL beat the top seed from the Columbia Regional(South Carolina);
and both teams advanced to the CWS.
The next year a regional was awarded to New Orleans. The winner of that regional played BR regional winner.

CAA usually tries to stick to some sense of geography when it comes to paring so you will normally get Louisiana teams in LSU regionals.
Actually they started this in 2001; a year after LSU and ULL both advanced to the CWS

just wish they would give us more chances to have two Louisiana teams in the CWS like in 2000? Seems like they always put together. Pisses me off!!!! I hope this year it doesnt happen since we have to really good teams in La.
I agree with you. I would LOVE to see a repeat of the 2000 CWS. That series was so much fun to watch with ULL and LSU both at Rosenblatt. It would be great to see both there.

yeah if we're both in the top 16 this year could be a lsu vs ull super!
I'd pay a pretty penny for that.

You must've failed geography in school.

The cities Lafayette and Baton Rouge haven't relocated since they BOTH went to the CWS in 2000.
