Why does Texas consider themselves DBU also?

I really don't get the reasoning behind this. I honestly can't even remember a single really good standout corner or safety for Texas since their 2005 national championship team!. Are they jealous of LSUs secondary so they trying to steal our thunder?

They had the number 1 safety taken in the draft just in 2013. He also went to New Orleans

Earl Thomas, widely considered the best safety in the league, is from UT.

Because they produced some fantastic DBs over the past 15 years; they fell off the last few years. Wish Vacarro was one of the great ones (sigh).

Of all those, Thomas is the only legit one. I don't think any of the others even made a Pro Bowl.

They probably are honestly the only team in the country that could even put a decent argument against LSU for that title. With that said, it's still a dumb one.
