I doubt bama gets in. I was mainly saying why I didn't want to play a rematch if it were to come to that.

But I understand what he's saying.

Same here. I was really wondering.

I read that he thinks the winner of the Big 12 or whatever it's called will get in.

I don't give a shite about Bama.

Let's take care of Ole Miss, Ar-Kansas, and Georgia. Then we will beat Bama again if we have to.

Not scared to play Bama again at all...just over the top fed up with listening to the media types frothing at the mouth in praise, adulation and man-love of Saban and the Tide. It died down slightly, very slightly, after the loss, but if they are really in the hunt again...there will be an onslaught of it all over again!

It is so tiresome and pathetic!!!

Right. Plus the sense of entitlement is a freakin' joke. Losers of games at home don't get to dictate BCS outcomes, they humbly sit by their TVs and hope they back into something.

9-6 has consequences.

I think so too. Not that I am anyone that knows anything. Just a guess based on what has been going on.

Agree with most of this. The media will get right back to their tooting the Bama horn and how Nick Saban is the best coach that ever existed and all that crap....

I was just stating that the way it currently looks, they won't get their rematch. They were tough, real tough and if you think Saban hasn't torn into them, particularly his FG kickers, think again.

But the chances of that are low. The guy that told me this knows his shite.

It's not scared. But why should LSU have to beat a team that:

1) It already beat at their place
2) Only has to win 11 games while LSU would have to win 13 to play for the BCS Championship
3) Didn't win its own division

What are our season goals?

1) undefeated, best team this season
2) best ever college football (talent & resume)

1) to be the best, u have to beat the best

2) to be the best ever, you have to beat the best whenever and where ever

- from the first game on the road - to the second game in the MNC

Bring on Bama! - we will win with a month for Miles to prepare and solidify our spot in history as the most dominant team ever - incl. Miami 2001

It's not really fear, although I think deep down everyone is afraid we won't win it all after having such a great season.

Let me explain what it actually is:

What would putting Bama in that game prove?

- That the "Game of the Century" didn't matter.

- That we could have lost that game and achieved the same end result. Hell, the way it's shaking up, we should have lost on purpose so we wouldn't have to bother with that pesky SEC Championship game against another top ten team where we put it all on the line while Bama watches from their fricking couches.

- That winning your conference (hell, your division) doesn't ultimately matter.

- That losing on your home field means you deserve a second chance at a neutral site.

- That even if Bama wins a rematch, they are 12-1 with a loss to LSU while LSU is 13-1 with a loss to Bama. Shouldn't they have to beat us twice for it to count as a championship since that's what is being expected of us?

So yeah, it's not fear. It's common sense. It's an innate problem with being asked to accept a shite sandwich and smile while you eat it.

Just my two cents.

***This post is made in the hypothetical reality that LSU wins their remaining games, which is far from a certainty. I don't understand us having a play in game to play a team we already beat. And that's exactly what the SECCG would be. Meanwhile, Bama, being #2 and having lost to LSU gets to just sit there and rest and wait. Makes zero sense. WE already beat them, and we already beat the Ducks...give us someone new.

We dominated Oregon. They can't match up with us physically on the football field. Everybody here knows it. Bama is the second best team in the country. Our game with them could have gone either way. Human nature wants the easiest path between 2 points. Oregon and Oklahoma are much easier paths to the title. That's why people want them.

Not scared, but how is it fair that because we beat Bama (on their field) that we now would have 1 less week to prepare for them, 1 more game to risk a loss or injury, 1 more game to show them our playbook. How is that fair?

Make Bama and UG duke it out in Atlanta for 2nd and 3rd place in the SEC. LSU sits at home and wins 1st- then that would be fair.

I want to play Bama again. The reason is that, after humiliating them on turf in our house on National TV AGAIN....not even Finebaum could come up with any argument as to why they were actually "the better team". We would demorilize the delusional gumps, Finebaum, ESPN, Verne and all the other spin pundits in one swoop. Would be the ultimate STFU. And I would really enjoy that.

I have said this before "crowd noise". The Dome would be pro LSU. Tigers went to Bryant Denny and dealt with it. Every count was silent. The place was as loud as I've ever heard it. Can Bama's qb and offense handle noise like that? It would be easier for LSU to open up their offense a little more, with home field crowd.

Remember how undeserving LSU was in 2007? The reason LSU was chosen in 2007 even though they had 2 losses is because they were the best team. Simple logic. Peoples who talk about not winning their conference championship or being beaten at home sound just like Bama fans citing every statistic except the one that matters - the score. Let's clarify both of these issues:

1. The only thing that matters in a game: the final score.

2. The only thing that matters for BCSNC selection: the best two teams.

Bama is clearly one of the best two teams and should be in that game.
