I agree that we have half of a championship team and half of a Championship coaching staff with less split down the middle.

I don't think it's that everyone thinks LSU sucks but when their is a crazy amount of hype and promises and literally nothing translates to on the field of play except for defense; people are going to stop being nice and courteous and speak there mind. It's not a hate thing it's more of disappointment an tigerdroppings is a venting point. Everyone on here gets back to thinking LSU is the beat on Saturday after a little whiskey.

and thus the reason why everyone is berating this team...bc there is so much talent

There's not as much talent offensively as fans want to believe there is.

Our strength at O-line has been decimated, no true threat at receiver, no TE.

Losing Faulk really hurt our run game, losing Randle really hurt our deep passing game.

The key word is "apparently". By looking at body language and results on the field they do not look like a confident group at all. I did not state it as a fact, but the results on the field back it up.

It's not "all of a sudden".

This year's LSU edition is lacking "something" maybe everyone was waiting for what unfolded last weekend.

By LSU fan standards, we do suck b/c we believe we should be in the title hunt every year while scoring 40+ and giving up only 7. This is a regression and it will be fixed once Miles can acknowledge his shortcomings.

By everyone else's standard around the nation, including teams in our own conference, we are "pretty good", but not great.

Its not that they suck, they have lost alot of key players, which took this team from great to average. You can't expect to lose almost your whole offensive line, arguably the greatest playmaker that LSU has had, and some key LB's and expect to compete at the same level.

Well thought out response. This team has lost 1/5 of your August roster, including approx 1/4 of your starters and most of your O-line depth is a very difficult thing to get over even for teams that are stacked.

No one thinks they "suck" but most have dramatically lower expectations than in August. In August it was BCS NCG or bust, and now it's looking like Capital One or Cotton Bowl as best case.

Realistically, with injuries and the last few games, there is very little reason to think LSU will lose fewer than 3 games other than blind faith the offense will "click" at some point.

Perhaps you haven't been keeping up with the posting on the Rant of late...cause, that's exactly what some think.

Our coaching staff is to blame for not putting together some creative plays...

LSU ranks #110 for penalities, #93 for sacks allowed, #107 for fumbles lost, #75 for T/Os lost, and probaby 75-100 for drops if there was such a offensive stat.

No doubt coaching is responsible for all good and bad, but there is also no doubt that between the lines performance, the "creative plays" or not, is having lots to do with our O ability to this point in time. imo
