What gears am I switching, Corky from Life Goes On?
Did we not score zero points in the second half last week and zero in the second half this week?

If you don't have reading comprehension skills then there is really no point for me continuing this conversation with you. Good luck with all your future endeavors. Geaux Tigers

You guys are fricking pathetic. We won by three points to the worst team in the West and you're pounding your chests like we are Bama.
Who's pounding their chest?

Thanks for trying to support an easily conveyable message. I don't think it is worth or time any longer with this fine upstanding successful businessman

Why don't you try watching the game.

Why don't you try falling off a bridge?
If you are okay with a zero point stat line in the second half against two inferior opponents going into the Auburn game, then YOU are exactly what is wrong with today's generation.
Lol

Running the ball and running the clock with a 17 point lead when you have awful field position, a new starter at qb and the best running back in the country is not really a bad strategy.
The game got close because outr best player uncharacteristically fumbled twice. But for the fumbles it's probably a 24 point win.
There have been games where LSU went into a shell too early. This wasn't one of them.

I wholeheartedly disagree. its just the same ole same ole. We will lose three games in November with the best squad since '11.

Part of the reason we didn't have as many plays was because we didn't throw to move the chains. We did throw it second half but miles has to realize our oline isnt the usual road graters we are used to. We are gonna have to throw more to open up the run. Although I agree mostly we were more on the attack than usual.

3rd quarter we took our foot off the gas. 4th quarter there were times when we kept throwing it when we should have been running clock.

Fumbles and lack of 3rddown conversions lead to less opportunities , you don't understand football so you?

"today's generation"
LMAO. I'm 63 and retired in May.
And you are a complete dumbass.
Please do the world a favor and sterilize yourself so you will not pollute the gene pool.

It is not just the decrease number of passes in the 2nd half. LSU ran a more spread offense in first half which had Moo State on their heels. In the 2nd half, the typical Leslie conservative tight formation was put in place. This made it difficult to run and pass. Definitely the foot was stomped on the brakes.

Nailed it.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't help him make a stop on defense. Defense got hosed in the 3rd quarter. When you're playing to make up for the lack of possession time, it's easy to get sloppy in your urgency. They failed. I wish people would stop saying they called the offense differently in the 2nd half. GEEZ. It's not about calling it differently. It's the fact they didn't execute the plan put in place with the situation they were in.
On top of that State pinned us deep for most of the entire night on punts.
I am not a Miles defender. At all. But here are some things Miles and Cam didn't do:
- Make Fournette fumble twice
- Put a hex on Kevin Toliver
- Drop interceptions
- Make Pocic hold when he moved to left tackle and drop us back to the 1 yard line
- Personally injure our O-lineman
- Overturn 2 plays that didn't have indisputable evidence
The last minute and a half before halftime could have been managed better to give us a couple more shots at the endzone, but all in all, didn't see this on Miles or Cam at all. Could be we were too aggressive throwing the ball in the 4th quarter in situations where we should have been running. But I'll take that since we always complain we're not aggressive enough.
Players didn't want to make plays in the 2nd half. Simple.

Les miles philiosphy pretty much centers around having a lead or being close in the 4th. Superior talent will get him to the finish line is what he believes

AH....We Didn't ....LSU is not a Good SEC Team !!!!

So first half we ran it 25 times and threw it 19, second half ran it 15 times (excluding the last 3) and threw it 10 times (plus one more where DE scrambles on a pass play).
BOOM! Jbrau, you just settled this argument. The coaches DID NOT go consevative in the second half. Those who say we did prove something I've been saying. Many think that the same play run twice, once successfully and once unsuccessfully, are actually two different plays. It's as though they think the coaches add "...and don't catch it" to the end of the play call.
