Why do we take our foot off the gas?

Look at Kiffen. Look at Ole Miss. The fact that we completely go full on conservative in the second half instead of destroying opponents with the same game plan has been and always will be our biggest challenge.

This second half conservative offense is the reason we let inferior teams come within three points of beating us.

Let Etling throw the ball on third down for Chrost sake.

Yes I did. 10 throws in the second half compared to 19 in the first?

I hope you hang around tigerdroppings after you're gone next year, Les/

In what universe is throwing deep balls in the shadow of our own end zone 'taking the foot off the gas'?

We threw 20 times in the first half. 10 in the second. This is my only logic.

Please overcome it.

I'll hang up and listen.

Our passing in the first half made them back out of the box and opened up the run game, as it was designed to do. They gave us the run so we took it, with our future first round RB and his capable backup, and we moved the ball on the ground at will. Playcalling was fine in the second half. The problem was turnovers and penalties.

Lol it's like these guys can't understand. We ran 44 plays in the first half, 28 in the second half. For two consecutive possessions in the second half we also had the ball at or around the LSU 10 yd line...and still threw it!!! Those 28 plays include the final 3 when we ran out the clock. So first half we ran it 25 times and threw it 19, second half ran it 15 times (excluding the last 3) and threw it 10 times (plus one more where DE scrambles on a pass play).

We had half as many plays in the second half. And we had a few passes taken away due to penalties (those don't show up in the stats).

I/

2 fumbles will negate the chances to throw the ball. A holding call also ended a drive as well. Once again, lowering your opportunities to throw the ball.

I swear, you people are blinded by the hatred of Miles and can't see what ACTUALLY happened in the game and come up with ridiculous conclusions.

Should the game been a blow out? Yes. But flukes and bad luck happen. That's what kept MSU in the game. Not "taking the foot off the gas."

Blah blah blah blah mother fricking blah.

It's the same ole shite. We get up big with the talent we have and we stomp on the brakes.

Take off your P&G glasses, young man.

Well you did it. You convinced me with that astute argument that I'm wrong. LOL

Like I said before since you clearly don't get it, every game before this one I wholeheartedly agree. But this game doesn't fit that narrative and yet here you are trying to force it.

AND P&g glasses are the only way to live my friend.

Please tell me how I'm force feeding this arguement.

Did we not throw NINETEEN times in the first half and TEN in the other?

Are you blind or have an extra chromosome?

You guys are fricking pathetic. We won by three points to the worst team in the West and you're pounding your chests like we are Bama.

Jesus, participation trophies have destroyed our generation.
