Reason enough, right?

bull shite. charlie mac ran a 2 qb system for an ENTIRELY different reason. he even sat bert jones for a half. and it had nothing to do with your stupid reason.

Why you ask? Not too hard to discerne.

SWAG enough he does not have." (Yoda)

Not enough SWAG for all the X-Box Expert Fartknockers that have never played a down of organized football. (Not even Pop Warner)

The entire team and coaching staff should be filled with the "Spirit of the Swag" or they're not LSU worthy and Ensminger don't quite fit the bill. Right boys?

Well here is my thing since Ems has been at LSU our TEs have been pretty much nonexistent. Also not one of his TEs has been selected in the NFL draft. Only 2 that came close was Clement when he signed with the Giants and DeAngelo Peterson when he signed with the Rams. LSU has not had a TE drafted since the days of Nicky Savoie and David LaFleur(sp)

Was that a result of his coaching or what they were asked to do? Were they recruited as pass catchers or blockers? Since LSU is primarily a running offense, how well do they block? How does the draft numbers for TE's compare with the draft numbers of centers for example?

Many remember him as the quarterback who followed Bert Jones rather ineffectively, while the more talented David Woodley rode the bench largely due to Charlie Mac's preference for Baton Rouge boys. That grudge plus his ineffective recruiting leads many tards to dislike him.

Bert left in 1972. You missed a few QB's before Steve / David came along in 76-77

Mike Miley
Carl Otis Trimble
Pat Lyons

And Woodley didn't "ride" the bench. He was part of Cholly Mac's typical two-QB system with Ensminger.

And Steve was from Central. But close enough for government work.

I guess your post was an all-around fail........

The rantard perception is he is not an effective recruiter. They see us losing some key recruits and want an all-star recruiter on the staff to take over north Louisiana. That is what I glean from reading this board a few times a week.

Probably a combo of no TE production and no recruiting production for N. La. which is why he was hired in the 1st place IMHO.

However, Miles thinks the guy is doing great and that's what matters. He keeps his nose clean and does the job is asked to do - day in and day out.

He also has a ton of coaching experience and he's a former LSU player. He's been around the block a time or two. I think he's great for the program despite what everyone else's perception is of him. Besides, he's the only one on the staff who knows when to call a timeout.

Great ambassador for LSU football and former teammate. Keep up the great work! Geaux Tigers!

Steve Ensminger is a Tiger who has given lots to this program. Only Miles' opinion of his performance as a position coach, administrator and recruiter is the one that counts.

All the other negative opinions from rantards who really don't have any facts to back up those opinions are frankly nothing but hurtful and worthless.

Other TE's since LaFleur- not Peterson/Clement.

Keith Zinger was drafted in the 7th RD 2008
Eric Edwards played in the league a couple of years.
Robert Royal was drafted in 5th RD 2002

Rantards don't know the real problem.

I tried to tell them when Stud was fired that there is only one man that can fix the problems in Northeast, La. And until that guy takes the initiative upon himself, there will continue to be problems.

Without question Woodley was far superior and the numbers showed it (as did his subsequent professional career). Perhaps Mac's preference for BR boys was just perceived, but the perception is where the grudge came from. And frick you and your stupid logic too grandpa.

Sounds like most Rantards wanting a certain new OL coach.

You can't possibly think that Stud needed to be retained as oline coach. If so your full blown retard sunshine pumper wearing purple gold shades even while sleeping at night.

Again, the speculation of a new TE coach comes from rumors that ensignmer will step down, not people just wishing he would be fired
