Would anyone be excited about Dan Mullen. That idea intrigued me, but I just couldn't imagine him in P&G on the sidelines. It would just look wrong.

I would not call him a HR hire, but he's a solid gameday coach I believe.

What big time recruit has Dan Mullen brought in? I know LSU recruits itself, but I don't see him doing enough to stay at the current level of recruiting.
I don't give him a pass because he's at Mississippi St. It's still an SEC program. His best season is still a 3 loss season. That is absolutely not good enough.. and that was with a heavily senior team.
He is 25-29 in conference play and only 53-34 overall
I mean that's nothing special. Nothing about him seems special.
I want an absolute winner or someone who brings a little more to table..

This. If that's the best that's on the table I think I'd wait it out with Miles another year and I'm ready for change.

I would much prefer staying with Miles over Dan Mullen.
Again, Mullen was only successful with a very veteran team and even that team dropped 3 games with a heisman trophy like QB.. They should not drop more than 1 game given those circumstances.. let alone 3.. in their best season with their best team..
It's just completely mediocre.. Mullen would absolutely scare me. He doesn't have the intensity IMO.
