Why did Miles never pull Jefferson like that?

Lord knows there were plenty of opportunities

He wasn't in danger of being fired in the tunnel like he is now, Miles just absolutely looks confused and unengaged.

Miles has no rhyme or reason for anything.
His judgment and decision making is somewhere between Jordan Jefferson's confiscated tennis shoes and a baby goat.

Because Lee scared the shite out of him.

Jarrett Lee was always horrible against Bama, didn't have confidence in Mett. I would have put Mett in, would have blown the midgets mind.

This this this this this.... People aren't looking at the fact that Alleva confessed to have 2 conversations with less on his performance this past week. You can guarandamntee that Alleva has miles coaching for his job. Thats why you saw a capable 2nd quarter which was shut down immediately after a comfortable lead.

Why was Jefferson not developed like so many other qbs in our history?
That's the real question

Les Miles took his hands off the offense for a quarter to save his job for another week.

If I remember correctly I thought Metts thumb was injured on his throwing hand that game and there was no valid excuse for Les not giving Lee another shot at Bama that game, he needed to do ANYTHING to change things up and he didn't do it...
That's the game I finally had enough of Les and wanted him gone and I still want him gone, I don't care if he runs the table and wins it all with Etling at QB...
Cause what's going to happen after Etling is gone?
The only productive QB we have had since Les has been here WITHOUT Jimbo developing the QBs was Mett and he transferred here, just like Etling...

Gary from Baton Rouge

He did. In 2010 when we actually had to complete passes to beat Florida and TN, and put Bama away he put Lee in. Showing that he did recognize Lee was the better passer but refused to start him anyway.

Lee had off the field issues. Les didn't have much choice.

While Les never flat pulled Jefferson, he inserted Lee into key situations throughout 2010.

Oooh look, a new rumor.

Like Jefferson didn't have "off the field issues"?? Lee started playing scared after the Kentucky game that year when JJ was brought in to score the TD. Lee was doing just what the team needed up until that point to win, manage the game and get the ball to the playmakers. As soon as JJ came into the picture, Lee changed. It was obvious who Les wanted because in the championship game he wanted to show the fanbase who the boss was by leaving JJ in therefore pissing the game away

Just shows how poor Miles judgement is, if JJ did not scare the shite out of him.

As bad as Jefferson played/was coached, Harris is a lot worse. It absolutely killed Miles to have to take Harris out. No telling what all Miles has told Harris about it being his job. And then Etling makes Miles look like a total fricking idiot.
No worries though, the O & D didn't exactly look like world beaters against mighty Jax St...Miss St will be much harder, and we'll go back to handing it off to Leonard and tell him to run through a brick wall.
