really....

and if we get Bama, it won't be JJ that beats them. It'll be our defense/ST. So you'll never hear about JJ again.

That was his statement that Lee is the clear backup. /thread

I always forget that Lee is a 6 year old girl who has to be treated with kids gloves.

A six year old girl would probably make this assumption.

In my case, it means I like mostly to read the rant not post to it, but when something really odd is going on, like the QB situation, I get drawn into posting.

It's a legit question, but it's been asked over and over since last night. Any opinions we have are pure speculation, but I also didn't think it was very fair to Lee.

This - I am content to let Miles decide how to win games, even though from my couch I don't understand his actions all the time.

However, this had nothing to do with winning the game. It seems like it would be an embarrassing thing to ask Lee to do. Unless it gets him into a record book as a 'participation' stat.

Even then, the game was truly decided the series before that, so in my opinion nothing concerning victory would be jeapordized by letting Lee have that series.

Hallelujah!!!!! But what will it be next year? Whatever it is, it can not even get close to the non-stop "JJ vs JL" rant for the last 3 years.

And had CLM put him in a series earlier, the Lee faithful would have been mad that it was just to hand off the ball and milk clock. They would claim it wasn't "fair" and was an "insult" that he didn't get to throw the ball. Or, they would claim it could have been the series before that....etc. etc. etc.

CLM is in a no win situation with these constant bitchers. To his credit he's figured this out long ago, he totally ignores them and has let them know their opinions mean NOTHING concerning who plays when and why!

GREAT JOB COACH...13-0 and loving it!

I don't think that was the right way to treat JL who won us so many matches this season.

Legit question. Sorry you didn't know about the other "50" people who posted this, but like me, you probably have other things to do on weekends than stay on here all the time. I thought it was a slap in the face to Lee. If he had not stuck around, we wouldn't be playing for a NC. He deserved more than taking a knee and handing off on the last series on Senior Day. The academic issue is a bullshite excuse. You don't suspend a senior for 4 games for skipping class. I'm not saying they need to play equally, but he deserves better than coming in to take a knee. That's bullshite.
And for all the people crying about "babying" Lee, remember it was Head Coach Les Miles who after JJ came back from kicking the guy in the face, put him in to score the TD against UT to "lift his spirits."

You think TJ Yates will remain the starter of the Texans when Matt Schaub comes back?

Probably wanted to get Lee one more snap before he's declared academically ineligible.

According to rantard logic of course he should. The backup should always be the starter if he wins some games.

LSU played a two QB system in 2010 before the "backup" came in and was successful this year. If you want to make comparisons, make valid ones.

Even most "JJ fans" had to wonder why JJ wasn't pulled for at least a series yesterday. When you manage 12 whole yards in a half, and you have someone capable on the sideline...people will wonder.

Thanks, you kinda summed up my situation.
And for y'all who think I'm supporting either JL or JJ, that's not the case. I support the Tigers and whenever they win makes me happy regardless of who the QB is.
Regarding last night, if Miles thought JJ should be playing the game, I respect that decision. But I have no respect whatsoever for "his decision to embarrass JL."
What was the problem with JJ doing the knee down as well?
