In yesterday’s presser one of Jay’s first comments was “we have to get Ack on the mound”. Not sure if anyone asked him a follow-up about the reasoning.

Go back and watch Dakota Jordan’s HR off Little. It was a great pitch. I have no idea how he hit it much less got it out of the ballpark.
Same for Hurd. You could tell he was getting frustrated after making great pitches that just kept getting spoiled, or worse, snuck inside the bases for doubles.

He slapped a ball to RF for a single that Neal overran it was a single and two base error

I was conflating 2 things. The home run was off Hurd on a similarly good pitch

I didn’t think the pitching changes most of the weekend made much sense. I know it’s hindsight now, but he left guys in too long and then pulled guys too quickly (Fri & Sat). I also think he gave up Friday once Loer came in and the bats went cold, threw only 3 pitchers on Friday. Left Hurd in too long IMO and should’ve used Ack, Fidel and Guidry.
