True. If you don't have $75...it's not cheap. If you do...it's a hell of a bargain

Mind blown.

The non-season ticket holders bought up all the $4 tickets

As a current student, most of us had plans set such as going home to see our families this weekend. So when they sprung the game on us last minute (per say), a lot of us couldn't/ weren't going to change our plans. $5 is nothing, so making it free wouldn't have changed our minds. Would have been a great game to go to but I don't get to see my family much. (And no, my family didn't want to go to the game ($$$), so it's not like they would have came up to BR to go to the game with me instead).

Anybody with a LSU student ID should be able to get in for free today. That would help put some dent in the 50,000 empty seats today.

- It is South Carolina's home game. They make the call.
- USC does not need more LSU fans who do not add to their coffers
- With limited support staff, it would be difficult to manage crowds
- Concessions (water) will also be an issue. It is supposed to be hot

Let me reiterate the moron part. Fans seem to want things for free, question coaches salaries, wonder why we don't have the large screens that others have, and yes expect Athletic department to support university with donations.

Good snarky dig at the shadowy Indian and Muslim student bodies of LSU, which make absolutely no effort to assimilate and partake in LSU culture, mate

Someone call Hillary & Barack! We need an entitlement program because only the evil 1% can afford the $5 tickets.

This political BS needed to be repeated.

Are you sure you should be calling someone a moron when you think 5 = 0 ?

This is what the entitlement mentalitiy is doing to this country!

Everybody thinks somebody owes them something!

If a student doesn't want to see the Tigers bad enough to come up with a whole 5 bucks...then I just as soon not have them in the stands.

Money isn't an issue for most students. I would have paid $20 for a student ticket. So to reiterate, blame the amount of time we had, not the money.

Back in the *olden* days we got in *free* with just a student ID. Anyone know off-hand when they started charging?

Hmmm, I can remember being 9-1 in the late 60's. Depends on your definition of sucking.

ETA: I'm guessing it was when they they decided to take away some of the student section and sell those seats. As enrollment went up they had to start selling tickets because they couldn't just let everyone in.
