Why can't the local sports reporters track Alleva down about this mess

WAFB/WBRZ needs to get after JA and ask about the state of the beaskrtball program. I keep hoping to see some statement from Alleva .....Baton Rouge has some weak arse sports reporters

Local media is a joke. The sports guys are too busy chasing inconsequential stories nobody cares about or getting on local talk radio to act chummy with those guys and the hard news people are out chasing flood/fraud stories.

In a micro TV market like BR? It would be like committing career suicide. LSU holds all the cards in how well these people do their jobs.

I'm surprised that Ron Higgins at the TP in NOLA has not been more vocal about this. He KNOWS basketball after several years covering Memphis and Ole Miss and Arky for the Commercial Appeal(and he is an LSU alum).

This is the truth. Local media always has to be careful how much they criticize. Otherwise their jobs become very difficult.
It's easier to be critical when you are in a big city with multiple colleges and/or pro teams, and there are many media outlets as well.
I'm not saying it's right. I'm just saying that's what it is.

He would give some cliche, dance around the question type answer, and then limit your access to the team. It's literally a lose-lose-lose situation for the reporter.

He's most recluse AD I've ever seen in my life. I mean, I know why. Anytime he's in front of a camera it's embarrassing to look at. He's just not cut out to be the face of a major program like LSU. Duke was more his style but he even fricked that up.
