actually that is kind of the definition of inconsistent. almost 1 per game that is 25%-30% lower than your avergae.
Which was like 10% of his punts. That is not inconsistent.

How many net yards did he give up?
Wasn't it like 6 going into the Alabama game?
You're a fool if you think he cost us in 2011. He was a weapon

Best college punter you have seen in your lifetime?
You must be young because Donnie Jones was a better punter than Wing.

I like how you mentioned the Georgia game
quote:
Punted eight times for an outstanding 50.4-yard average with two punts inside the 20, a long of 67 and six punts of 50 or more yards against Georgia in the SEC Championship Game
quote:
Averaged 44.4 yards a punt, which ranks first in career average at LSU and fourth in a single season ... Ranked second in the SEC and 11th nationally with the 44.4-yard average .
yet you have anything under 40 listed as a shank

Nobody wants to sign a douche bag punter.
He is the real reason for the shadys fight.

now i am questioning your reading skills, as i specifically stated, not allof these are shanks.
i also think that the fact that he had several bombs, of 60 yards plus, yet an average of 44, shows there were several shorter ones, to go with those longer ones.
I know this discussion was 2011 only, but in '12 there were 5 under 30, including a 10, 20, 24....

2-time Ray Guy winner got the job.

Looks like another case of a good talent gone to waste. Probably used that wonderful stuff that never hurts anyone.Certainly need to make it legal for our team. UGH!

No way you're being serious.

He did hit some marvelous punts, but he was automatic for at least 1 shank per game.
You might be mixing the Aussies up

Actually, it shows how efficient he was since he had that average despite pinning about half his punts inside the 20

Then you used it to justify your claim of 1/g
And you just ignored the 6 inches a punt we were giving up going into the nc game. I think jones had the better career, but 2011 was the best punting year in LSU history

Wing wasn't a great punter. Your short life hasn't seen great I guess. He had one great year and was inconsistent the next. He was an a-hole and left for being stupid. He couldn't beat out Donnie Jones at Philly who was also an LSU punter. He ran a fake punt for a TD and got it called back. That's what he is known for. Let it go. He isn't gonna win a job by being a dick.

Is it really that crazy of an idea? If weed doesn't have any performance enhancing nor reducing properties, and so many people like to smoke it, why not?

The dude was being sarcastic and implying that weed was why he regressed in '12.

You and I remember 2011 very differently.

Like the uga game where he had 6 punts over 50 yards, another inside the 10 and one 30+ yarder. 7/8 incredible punts = inconsistency. He helped keep us in that game
