Play a tougher non conference slate and know what you got before conference play.

So you read D1. Does it take 20 starts to realize a kid shouldn't hit cleanup?

You can win the SEC regular season title going 18-12. You can host a top 8 seed going 18-12 in the SEC. We will be fine.
What if this game means you're 17-11 instead of 18-12? You don't sacrifice games in conference, especially at home.
BUT, I agree that we'll be fine, just hate losing to this school in anything.

Has no one in this thread realized this?

Starting Chi at first partly fricked this game.

Yep.

dude it's one loss get over it.

Plus CPM hand was forced, I don't think when he put Hale in the game at 1st he expected Stallings to blow the lead, and we would have to go another 5 innings.

CPM did his best to win the game.

I've never seen that before btw. A defensive replacement at 1B. That's how bad Chinea is there.

Usually, defensive replacements are at catcher, OF, 2B. If you need to be subbed at first for defense, you probably shouldn't be there in the first place.

Because we didn't want them to bat.

no doubt Chinea shouldn't have been in there but I can live with it if Hale had a sore arm.

What ever it's one game, I think we win tomorrow, Arkansas should be a good series. We have a couple series we should sweep. We are in great shape.

Agree on this. If your first baseman is so bad that you have to kill the DH late to replace him then there is a problem.

But then again if Hale "had" to start as DH what were the other options? Jordan?

I don't, but I don't think it will matter in the long run.

I'm questioning the "had". If it was that bad, just leave Chinea out there. But it obviously wasn't. He played 6 innings there fine.

Why not?

We still are better set pitching wise. One thing the sub did was save a lot of guys who could pitch again tomorrow. I do expect Pap to catch to give Sciv a rest. I hope to god he DHs though

I agree that Kade should DH but, I'll bet he doesn't.

I don't have a lot of faith in Godfrey and his lack of command at this point. And our over aggressiveness at the plate hasn't used up as much as their bullpen through 22 innings as you would like to give us the advantage we should have going into game 3.

Ole miss sets up perfectly for Godfrey IMO. Free swingers. Not a ton of walks. I think it will depend on the strike zone. Both nights have been very small. Lange handles it fantastic.

we know Weathersby, and Short are probably unavailable for Ole Miss tomorrow, they don't have much left for Sunday.

Once again coach pm strikes. No way not to blame him for the loss, but his fans will always take up for him.
