5 of us in our group are in Austin for the weekend. Plane tickets were already bought.
Of our core group of 14, only two are going. All others had other plans since it was an open weekend.

As others have said, people make plans based around the expected schedule. I told my wife she could schedule family pictures tomorrow. They were scheduled early enough so that I would be home in front of a tv to watch the away game with no problem. They're not scheduled early enough so that I can get to Baton Rouge in time to watch the game in person. Do you realize how many people come in from out of town for games? I can promise you I am not the only one.
