They look awesome, personally I think they are a little too stylish and will date badly but I'm sure they will be updated in 10 years anyways. If you're a fan you should want the football program to have the best facilities in the world attracting the best recruits correct? Who cares how much it costs, these kinda things pay for themselves anyways especially if the recruits are buzzing about it , which it seems like they are.

None of the fans are upset.

The complainers are people who hate sports, or journalists who are jealous of Will Wade.

1. I think a lot of dumb arse liberals don't realize that the 28MM was the cost of the entire project as opposed to 28MM on locker rooms.

2. Jealous

If it was Alabama, everyone would be gushing about how great it is. But since it's Louisiana, people are gonna talk shite. that's just the way it is, and will always be.

The answer is simple. They're a product of the entitlement age. If LSU players and athletes have this nice stuff......why can't they have the same thing? They want nice stuff and they're jealous the folks (TAF) who funded this renovation didn't give it to them in the form of freebees.

LSU Football is a huge asset to the university and the State of Louisiana. Unfortunately some folks see LSU as just another government tit they can latch onto. Think Eric Reid.

As you were.

The simple answer is jealousy. The great thing about it is LSU (TAF) made a huge splash with the locker room and spent less than what the top schools are paying to do it.

cuz, "injustice", man

though he's yet to assign it to a particular "privilege" demographic yet.

might have to do with the racial makup of major college football programs?

that money could've gone to another underprivileged group needing education funds. though some people fail to realize that in the beauty of capitalism, a person can spend their own private funds how they choose.

It's something that has really come up the last few years

It's call virtue signaling

People on social media will state their position on something in order to get that response of "wow, go you"from other

As in, "It's such a sad state when people would rather give millions for a bed in a locker room while all of these kids are taking on massive debt to get an education"

Sound ridiculous? Because it is, but bet those same people would quickly spend money on material items for themselves before donating to anything and they would justify it as "they worked hard for it" as if wealthy people don't (granted... Many don't, but everyone knows someone that worked their butt off to make something of themselves)

It's the world we live in these days. People just can't be happy. Or mind their own business.

People love to complain about something or gripe about other people.

A lot of the reports stated that the locker rooms alone cost 28million dollars, which admittedly is an obscene amount for locker rooms. But it was not just the locker rooms, it was the entire Ops building.

Realistically this was a huge project that will not only effect the football team, but ALL of LSU athletics. This was absolutely worthy of the money spent and is a great day for the student athletes.

If people want a nicer library (and they should) then they should figure out a way to make that happen through donations/private funding just like the athletics did. These players work hard to put a product on the field that people care about. And then on top of that they give back to the University that helped them get to where they are. Other sectors can do the same.

Jealousy is a bad look.

That term is thrown around so loosely, I had to look it up again...Maybe but it seems more like the opposite of Liberals:
lib·er·al
/'lib(?)r?l/
adjective
1.open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.

I do absolutely agree that some media people have a bone to pick due to the way we blew right through the WW crap they tried to pull.

Through that though, they figured out that we're an extremely silo'd market and that we're easy to pick on.

Let them pick, it just brings on more fans.

I'm pretty sure a new library is in the works anyway.
The ridiculous thing about the complaining is the academic staff complaining about their facilities aren't doing shite themselves to make them better. You don't think Les, O, Joe and a lot of people in athletic operations worked hard to procure the donations required to make this project happen? They didn't just show up to work for their required hours and end up with this facility.

How miserable must your life be, if you bitch and moan about a privately-funded facility?
