Who's to say a good/great hire won't actually improve the recruiting class?

I'm no recruiting officionado, but look at all the kids that have de-committed recently. Most were probably not coming here anyway because of LSU's shite show offensive system. And they want to play for championships, which LSU does not do anymore.

These kids change their mind all the time. Why can't the right hire actually turn some of these kids back toward LSU? Or maybe even get some new commits who were never expected to come here?

If Frank and O stay, then it's possible. There's not enough time to establish relationships from scratch.
