Can't stand to see them basically be a better version of LSU. The fact that lesser teams can develop a gameplan to at least challenge Bama, while we continue to line up and run the same stale offense at them, drives me crazy!

Watching LSU Bama last season was like watching starters vs scout team. They aren't that much better talent wise. They are just better coached. Better prepared.

Saban has adapted over the years. Les hasn't.

Exactly!! Clemson made Bama work for that win. We just come out and do the same 6 plays. No wrinkles.

Absolutely false. Their front 7 is that good. If anything the coaching is about equal. The talent gap was just too big.

It's not like only Bama is keeping LSU from greatness.

Can not stand Alabama as for me they are the evil empire of college football. They must be crushed in defeat and humiliated by LSU in order for me to gain satisfaction. However, I am of the view that most of our recent wounds are self inflicted and result from a a malaise in the LSU program subsequent to 1/9/12. We have not been remotely on par with Alabama program in four (4) years.

Alabama is better because their head coach leans from defeat and adapts. Our leader, to this point, has failed to demonstrate adaptability and it has hurt our program. There are some minimal signs of change this offseason and one can only hope years of stinging defeat will change CLM. We shall see in 2016-17 or he won't be here behind next season.

They're better because they've had about 4 consecutive #1 classes

They haven't changed much at all. I'm not sure what sort of adapting you're talking about.

LSU had a chance to hang with them and knock them down a peg after the 2012 BCSNC, but Miles and the defense folded in the last minute giving Alabama another NC ultimately when it could have and should have easily been LSU that season over an overrated ND team.

I'm not sure how different the last 3 years would have been if that were to occur, though

Ihate the fact that LSU has finished in the middle of the pack in the SEC west for the last THREE years. I don'blame Alabama for that...I blame our coaching for that! That is what I hate...the problem is in house.

This is absolutely false. Saban and his staff are better than Miles and his staff. They just are. Part of that is the acquiring and development of that talent you speak of. They're better at it than LSU's (and everybody else).

Saying the staffs are equal is homerism.

the fact that bama took a tight end that hasn't scored a TD in 3 years and made him the centerpiece for the offense to surprise clemson... that was one of the most brilliant offensive coaching strategies of all time in a championship game... 2 TD's and 208 yards?

Not secretly mad, not putting on any faces - hate the red team wholeheartedly.

But here's the deal: they are in a league all their own under the Saban regime. I'm not even sure if their success even accrues to the SEC right now, considering no one in their own league is knocking them off their perch. (No, Ole Piss, knocking them off their perch means taking championships away from them.)

Ugh...Went to bed feeling like LSU lost last night. I seriously need to start meditating. There are so many Bama fans and alum in Georgia and I get livid every time i see a bama tag or sticker-which is about every other car. I need to quit being a sports fan.

The only proper finish for the Iron Bowl is the game to end tied 3-3 and the stands to collapse afterwards.

For these type matchups, I always hope that the visitor's plane could crash into the home-team's bus.
