O'Connor sure didn't learn how to select a pitcher from Mainieri. With no pitching left for yesterdays game he started his center fielder, who has only pitched a little. This was something that Bertman was able to do that Mainieri can't seem to do. Last Thursday Skip would have looked all available pitchers in the eye and would have known who was ready to step up. Person has been a great pitcher for us, but his body language sure showed that he was ready for the big stage.

You know he's pulling for his protege O'Connor. Besides, Corbin and Vandy already have a CWS title.
Why would he want another two-time CWS winning SEC HC(formerly had Tanner as such) to compete in the SEC for top program status, recruit versus, or in answering his LSU detractors?
