And if JJ has another home game after tonight we will not only get a new BBall coach in 2018 we will also get a new AD. Win/Win in my book

Will there be enough able bodied males in attendance to carry him off the court to sign his contract extension from Alleva at the press conference?

O/U set at 156. Seems like easy money. No matter who wins, at least 160 points will be scored.

Fun fact: Tennessee has lost 4 of 5 coming in, two by 25 and 27 respectively. Only win was vs Missouri. Only close loss was to UGA.

Sounds crazy but if they play like they played at Georgia, LSU could quite possibly win this game.

Those two big losses were Kentucky and South Carolina. LSU will lose by double digits. No better cure for an ailing offense than playing the LSU defense.

Nobody should be HAPPY to see someone get fired. He was hired and did his best, but it wasn't good enough. Why get mad at a coach that never should have been hired in the first place? Get mad at the person that hired him. JJ Tried his best, not his fault he was put in a position he couldn't handle. Fire away!

If LSU wins tonight they'll make the SEC tournament as a #13 seed.

Apparently all 14 teams make the tournament this season

I think I feel the same way about JJ as I do about The Orgeron....
I don't blame them for wanting a raise and a promotion. That's human nature.
I suspect they do the best they can.
I blame those that hired them into a position for which objective people could see they are not qualified, primarily because they are "LSU people, whose life's passion is to be a head coach at LSU".

Me too. They are overlooked by many, but they have to be miserable...

I hold no animosity towards JJ. I do agree that he never should have been hired for LSU. But, he was and has been given every opportunity to turn it around. He was set up to fail from day one by Alleva hiring him for a job that was way over his head. In doing this, Alleva has probably ruined JJ's career. JJ does need to be removed from this position, but the circumstances involved should be placed squarely on the shoulders of the inept Alleva. Now, we'll have to rely on Alleva to hire JJ's replacement. That is not a comforting thought.

they all play in the tournament every year, minus 2016 when Missouri was under investigation and chose not to participate.

There is nothing exciting about seeing JJ as the coach whether its his first or last game. One thing that I am concerned about is that I read something on this website that his buyout is less if we wait until April to fire him and not the day the season ends. I am concerned about this because we might miss out on the right coach waiting until April to fire JJ.
