Phillip Montgomery, passing game coordinator and QB coach at Bayor. That being said, could see the Cam thing happening. Miles has seen the light. Changes will be made. And I am no Miles sunshine pumper, believe me.

FRANK WILSON! LSU is seating on a serious Diamond, this man is an Offensive Genius! A destroyer of defenses. He is not just an excellent recruiter. He really understands X's and O's. He is definitely going to get his shot, just probably not at LSU. But when he does.... Look out opposing defenses!!

Why do threads like this get started over and over again.

We are not getting a new OC. Quit playing the "what if" game with something that isn't happening.

Why does anyone think Stud is moving on? Where would he go at this point?

I had earlier posted some of these same sentiments about giving Frank Wilson a shot at it. He has a solid winning background before he became known as a great recruiter on the college level. This man can bring a lot to the offense-- easily more than Stud, if Les will give him a chance. If not, he'll eventually wind up elsehwere, hopefully not vs. LSU.

I know unfortunately we're not getting a new OC. I recall how much everyone wanted to see Crowton get the ax a few years ago and he stayed that last painful season before thankfully exiting. I fear we are in a similar situation now.

And to respond to an earlier post, I don't think most of us seriously believe Stud is leaving, just hoping for that. I am not sure who would really want him as either OC or head coach.

Just FYI-He coached WR's & QB's at Michigan and has had head jobs in the NFL & college, along with coordinator jobs at several stops. He's a great playcaller and is someone that Miles will abdicate responsibility too.

Pray that Stud moves on.
Just move Stud back to OL and get him in here. To say the least it would be an improvement. Hell, let him coach the WR's too. They sure need somebody that can technically coach em up and teach them how to concentrate/focus when the lights come.

"Winning Background." "Great Recruiter." What do any of those have to do with being a qualified offensive coordinator in the S.E.C.? So, you really want LSU to take a chance on hiring a running backs coach with no experience as a Coordinator at any level just because he's a "Great Recruiter." LSU is way past the point as a program of taking chances on anybody that doesn't have the pre-requisite experience for the position. Wanna be OC at Louisiana State University, then go cut your teeth as an OC at a smaller school and show some success there before getting a shot with the big boys.
