It was announced a while back that Northwestern will be playing several home games at Wrigley Field over the next few years. I'm sure they aren't the rant's most coveted opponent but I think it might be worth it just for the atmosphere. I live in Chicago now and get to watch the Cubs fairly often. Besides Tiger Stadium, there's no better game day atmosphere in sports.

Was it Wrigley where that terrible bowl game was played 2 years ago?

Wouldn't mind playing Northwestern or someone like that to start off the year.

I'd make the trip to see that. Sounds like a great weekend.

eta:
I thought this was about the baseball team. Not sure about a football game there.

With this stupid conflict? No thanks.

Weren't all the offensive plays run facing the same direction because of it?

I think that would be wonderful and to make it more practical, we get a home game against them in Tiger Stadium. I love games like that where the opponent has some "name value" or is at least from a major conference, but you really aren't going to be in much danger of losing most years.

Isn't that where Notre Dame played Great Lakes Navy during WWII?

Don't really understand the sheep...er, I mean Cubs fans, and their unabiding loyalty to a franchise that dosen't give a crap about EVER winning something. They have a fat TV contract and a bunch of fans that buy up tickets like sheep, I mean drunk sheep..lol

Everyone should admit that the stadium itself is historically significant. Most would admit that it looks pretty damn cool too.

Sure, I can't imagine anyone would argue that. But to host football games?
