I certainly would like to see us play more competitive opponents. UAB, Kent State and Furman just doesn't ring my bell.

I feel like sec competition and one big non conference game a year is enough...you win all those you are in the title 99% of the time in the sec

Hopefully we'll go to a 9 game conference slate.

I agree w you storm, but I'd still rather pay money for La Tech over UAB or ULM/L over Furman. It's terrible!

You know LA Tech lost to Tulane last week right?

I would rather see the LSU vs Tulane game continue on the schedule. At least that has some history behind it.

I'm happy with the way it is. I think one descent team is enough combined with the SEC schedule.

When it changes to a 4 game playoff system next year we'll be wishing for more cupcakes Im worried about how the rankings are gonna fall in a year where the SEC beats up each other, then you'll have an Oregon,Louisville,Ohio, or Clemson type 4 game playoff. I say buy as many wins as we can looking forward!

Love these arguments.

Would you rather an easy OOC schedule knowing our SEC one is always brutal...and this leads to better chance of a NC?

or

Tougher OOC games to get your "moneys" worth and complain because we only got 9-3 or 10-2?

Not me glad that is over. Did nothing for LSU but make enemies in New Orleans for disgruntled Tulane fans.

Hopefully UCLA rumor is true with a game in Tiger Stadium
I know they want to play Tulane in Superdome in 2015 and were looking for strong non conf for Tiger Stadium.

That would also get a return game in the Rose Bowl

You wont be saying this when we are breaking in a new qb.

But also some years we play, Bama, Aub, UF, And Tenn. That is 4 former BCS champions. Name another school that goes through that sort of conference schedule. Not one team out side of the south plays that many or can lay a claim to that.

Kent State won more games than us last year, they were said to be a bcs buster and had the best 1-2 punch rb in all of football last season.

yea, it would be cool not to have any rent a wins BUT have you seen a&m's ooc schedule? the chicken shits don't play any of th sec east powers and still booked all 4 ooc's weaklings. it's a competitive world and LSU and les miles book far better opponents than most top teams do.

I don't know if you've noticed but LSU plays a BCS conference opponent every year. The season will never be filled with marquis opponents. TCU this year. Washington, Oregon, WV. The list goes on.

Just a heads up... all Tulane fans are disgruntled and they hate LSU anyway.

I have a feeling that OU series will be gone with 9 game sec schedule on horizon.
Good thing with playoff is these high profile games won't crush your chances of being in playoff.
You will be rewarded for playing that game if you can still win the SEC, win or lose.

Oregon was essentially out of the BCS title race after the first weekend.

Weve played TCU, WVU, Oregon, Va tech. All those teams have won bcs bowl games and have been conference champions.

Our fan base has to be the most whiniest of them all. It's pathetic. Season tickets cost a lot because whe have to keep up with the other programs. Not only in football, but in all sports.

no they weren't. they were out when they lost a 2nd time to U$C in November. (the only game in which Lane Kiffin has actually showed coaching ability)
