Really? The main reason we won the first game was because of JJ's option and feet,

The offense literally was responsible for the field position that led to 3 points in that game.

My guess, Mettenberger could have let LSU to a TD in regulation the first Alabama game, and could have at least allowed the LSU offense to be competitive in the second.

This premature "crowning" of Mett is unbelievable and borderline idiotic.

Then don't crown him, no one else is. He just has to be better than the previous two. That's all.

I say probably yes.

So, if we don't win them all this season, more favorable schedule, we can blame Mett?

I am sure you folks will blame the players long before blaming the coaching staff.

13-1 would be pretty tough to improve upon.

You folks can blame anyone you want...makes no never mind to me.

I got over it in bout 3 days.

I'm into celebrating yet another elite season provided by our players/coaches and not looking for a lb of flesh from someone.

I think the real question will be if he succeeds next year. You'll have to ask what made him better, I'm sure it wasn't practice reps and mop up duty. I have a wait and see attitude.

Yeah, Auburn made a huge mistake last year starting their first year QB. That was such a disaster we'll probably never hear about that guy again.

Les is fricked either way with this group. If Mett blows it up next year and goes 14-0, these folks will be even more outraged that he didn't play more in 2011. If Mett comes out and makes enough mistakes to cost us a few games, they'll be calling for Les's head.

Only at lsu it seems does a QB require years of practice and backup duty to become competent. It must be bc of lsu's complex offense.

What exactly are you trying to say here? Is it about the QB or the offense? I'm curious.

If LSU goes 10-2 next season, how will you all feel?

That this may be the most underachieving team yet. I can't see LSU losing two next year.
