Based on what? Some garbage time reps? Some practice reps? Some video of HS reps?

Of course we would! The team won games on the ground, and never truly relied on the passing game. Alabama is the only team that may have beaten us with Mett at QB because of JJ's ability to scramble and run the option (surprised Bama in November). If Mett could have escaped the pressure and run the option effectively, He would have beaten Bama worse.

I've said the same thing as well. He would have been at least as good as Lee and couldn't have played worse than Jefferson.

Really? The main reason we won the first game was because of JJ's option and feet, but the main reason we lost the second one was because of the same reason and that we didn't even attempt to throw the ball down field.

It would have been the been the 3rd time in 4 years that LSU would break out a new starting QB.

We all know how the 1st couple of times ended.

Experience counts in the SEC. Mett will be good, but in the end experience makes a difference. The coaching staff didn't feel he was ready yet and used the two 5th year seniors who had the experience.

Im sick of hearing people think that Bama was that much better than us. I don't buy it. I believe if we would have played the appropriate players and had a somewhat descent game plan, then the NC game would have went either way. Adding, that a descent game plan would have somehow involved a Mett passing attack.

Most of the times, yes, but definitely not in this case, especially leaving JJ in their the whole time.

Experience is overrated if you're any good. Just look at McCarron. He isn't even that good, and he led Bama to a BCS title in his first year as a starter. McElroy did the same for them. Lee and JJ, on the other had, had more than double McCarron's experience and each looked like shite in one game against Bama this year.

McCarron had zero experience and did just fine. Mett couldn't have did any worse than less than 100 yards of offense in the national championship

Spencer Ware at QB may have been able to get LSU to 13-0. Mett couldn't have done any worse than that.

I think we would have lost to Oregon. Lack of experience would have been a big issue on such a huge stage right out of the chute.

Mett is an actual QB. Yes, I know we would have won it all with him. That's all that was missing.
