I had never heard of this guy before. But in the two weeks leading up to the Bama game, his name keept popping up on the Rant and continues to do so.

Who exactly is Finebaum? Is he an important figure? Is there anything I need to know about the guy?

Radio guy sirius chnnel 91 afternoon drive home

bama homer for the most part, used to cover LSU in the 80s so there is an affinity there...

corrals the bama masses and pits them against their cross state rivals constantly...

prolly the reason the auburn tree is dead

Are you implying that Finebaum is a witch?

Only one way to find out. Throw him in the river. If he sinks, he's innocent. If he floats, he's a witch.

How does a college football fan, especially a SEC fan not know who finebaum is?

If you don't spend your life on SEC message boards or listen to Sirius radio, how would you know who he is?

The vast majority of college football/SEC fans have no idea who that guy is.

Finebaum makes a living on stirring the pot. Fortunately for him the south has a certain percentage of people that love football, love to talk, and arn't very bright.

Boy, after watching that video posted up top...I'm glad I never heard about this guy until like 4 weeks ago.

I don't have Sirius radio and the only reason I heard his name is because of a Bama fan I know.

He seems to be awful.

paul is a POS......... living thirty miles from t town i hear his show, but i turn the station.....he makes my BP go up.....when Saban was at LSU he said Saban was the devil, now he worships him, and he says Miles is a fool.......all the bama nation wants is a chance for a rematch....and if they loose that game they want another rematch.......Bama wants to play til they win and then they want to stop......I hope MSU beats them....

Finebaum's show should always be listened to just to smile. Kinda like going to the zoo. You don't go to hear the monkey's expert opinions on the socioeconomic effects of football you go to see them sling shite on the other monkeys.

Paul Finebaum is the Jerry Springer of college football radio. He drives them crazy, and plays them like a fiddle.

It's really funny.

Easily. I'd never heard of his insignificant show until I got Sirius radio. He's basically Jerry Springer for Alabama sports. He gives no details or anything that resembles an informed insight into college football and basically says hello to the callers, lets them rant then goes to commercial break. It's basically the same show everyday with idiots from both sides of the Bama/AU rivalry reinforcing, that, due to a complete lack of personal accomplishments, they have chosen to live their lives vicariously through their teams successes and failures. I prefer to listen to Maddog rant on about 1960's baseball instead.
