Brennan came in and commanded the offense very well. The offense actually looked vastly improved to me, with passes designed to help Brennan get the ball away quickly. Was refreshing to see. Sucks we got the safety, and if Drake runs the right route there's no pick. I was very impressed

Do y'all watch the same game? Etling was 8/15 for 58 yards outside of those two td throws. 3 of those throws were shovel passes. He's handicapping the offense. We are so reliant on big plays. He can't lead a drive on offense it's big play or bust. Brennan actually executed 2 drives. Moved in the pocket well. Etling looked like the freshman.
I mean if we are cherry picking stats. Brennan threw a pick and had like -2 points. His dump off pass that y'all are giving him credit for was more on Darrell williams taking it 43 yards.
That drive you give him credit for was all Darrell Williams. Brennan just gave him the ball.
Brennans time will come, its just not now.

Etling will start. Brennan will play significant time though. Wish we could see Lowell too though.

Brennan's pass was the right read. He got the ball to a play maker in space with pressure baring down on him. You rarely see Danny get the ball out on time in that situation. Danny had a terrible game outside of 2 throws he failed to operate the offense. That's the point.

I agree. Brennan got rid of that dump pass to Williams very quickly and that looked impressive.

The last two games have exposed Etling for what he is: a QB that cannot win you a game.
This is a dumbass statement. The last two games have exposed the fact that Tom Brady couldn't win games for us without protection. Etling can outplay the team around him for sure, but he can't win the game by himself.
I'm anxious to see 15 get some reps, but the coaches shouldn't have pulled Danny when things started going right last night. Game could've been lost with that move. If so, many would have blamed Etling.
We're in trouble in many parts of this circus of a team, but DE is the least of the problems.

You are being ridiculous.

There is ZeRO reason to start anyone else....

I get what you are saying about it being all Williams on that pass but a qb job is to get the ball in your playmaker hands and let him go make a play... right or wrong? Don't answer its cause it's right

Etling has been good this year. Not his fault his line gives him .3 seconds to make a decision
Agreed, that line is every bit as bad as id thought aftet watching BYU. Ive seen the gaurds plain get beat on straight run plays.

Here is the thing. This is Syracuse does Danny make those throws against sec defensive backs. I think we know the answer. Why waste everyone's time trotting him out against Florida, auburn.

Myles Brennan is ready to play and start right now just like every other true freshman who has been asked to play in this league this year whether due to injury or by design. I.E. Ehlinger-TX, Fromm-GA, Mond-TAMU, and others. If Brennan was the backup QB for any one of those teams he would be the starter for them right now. But somehow he's not good enough to play for LSU. I guess none of those other freshman qbs would be LSU worthy either.. If LSU played a wide open offense, played out of the shotgun and had a line that gave the QB 4 seconds to throw the ball, Brennan and his receivers would be unstoppable...

Etling first half
Brennan complete 2nd half
Brennan complete 2nd half

What the hell has etling done so bad that he should be replaced with a freshman that threw a pick and a swing pass to Williams..if the pick wasn't his fault then why did they take him out.theres no way to know the fault wasn't his, besides that ..btw, the swing pass also looked to be designed or at least an auto hot route, doesn't make him a superstar at having a quick mind and release .cmonn with the hate on etling...he wasn't good at all in first quarter, but who was, fans included..he made a hell of a comeback, unlike our fans, that were there...our o line and our attending fans, those were our biggest problems.lol, houstan Texans

Good god. I like Brennan, and he has a lot of POTENTIAL...he isn't as good as etling yet

I think we start Etling but we play Brennan at least 4 series.
