I'd have to say Louisville. I spent four years as band director there after earning my MA at LSU, and went to two Final Fours when Denny Crum was coach. I still follow the Cards and root for them. I've always been a Braves fan, but living up here in Cleveland I've grown into a fan of the local pro teams. But I still bleed purple and gold!

Anybody who is currently best in the league. Nobody likes losers! Especially if the team you always root for isn't doing too hot.
So I root for undefeateds, teams ranked no.1, a defending national champion (usually just in the off-season unless it's likely they will get back 2 back titles)
I try and make sure the team I'm rooting for is actually gonna win, so it changes a lot
Currently I'm a Seahawks fan, but I may have to change to Green Bay

Pro Football; I've have been a Raider and Saints fan since I was a kid. Baseball: Giants fan, until they traded my childhood hero Willie Mays. My Southern Italian genes have made hold a grudge so I changed my allegiance to the A's 40 years ago. Pro Basketball; Warriors from childhood.

Since childhood, I always liked Nebraska for some unexplainable reason. Wife is a Michigan State grad, so I'm obligated to pull for them in her presence. But those two are a very very distant 2nd to the Tigers.

College football (LSU always first), then a mix of WVU, GA Tech, Texas, FSU, UK and maybe aTm, UGA, Arkansas and Mizzou (all in no particular order).
Confession: I pulled for Ole Miss and AU versus Alabama this year. But I generally do pull for whoever plays Alabama. Here's a question: when is the last time Bama and UGA met in reg season?

2008... it's been a while. A&M and Mizzou joined and they reshuffled the schedule right when Bama and UGA were supposed to play again. Bama does have to go to Athens next year, though.
