who is home or visitor in post season

This is how it worked in the SEC Tournament: at the beginning, the highest seed was the home team. When LSU played Florida and Ole Miss played South Carolina both the Gators and The Gators were home teams because they were higher seeds.
The next night when LSU played Mississippi State and Ole Miss played Vandy, both were home teams because they had been visitors once and in State's case they had yet to be a visitor and Vandy and Ole Miss had been home once each and visitors once each, so Ole Miss was home because they were higher seeded than Vandy.
When Florida played State, State was the home team because they were higher seeded and each had been home once and visitor once. Texas A&M was visitor against South Carolina because they were home in the previous game with South Carolina, but when they played Vandy again, they were home because all things were equal and they were the higher seeded team.
When it came to Saturday, all things were equal with Ole Miss and Texas A&M, so The Aggies were the home team.
As for LSU and Florida, LSu had been home twice and visitor once and Florida had been visitor Twice and home once. So Florida was the home team.
Had LSu gone against Texas A&M
Or Ole Miss against Florida, each would been the visitor on Sunday because all things would have been equal and the Gators and Aggies were the higher seeded teams.
Had LSU played Ole Miss today, LSU would have been the home team because all things would have been equal and LSU would be the higher seed.
That is how it works in any tournament. LSu will be home in the first game. If the 2nd seed wins and LSu wins, they will be home. If the 3rd seed wins , then they would be visitor.
In The Super Regional, the higher seed is home and then visitor in the next game and a coin is flipped before it begins to determine who is home in the 3rd game.
In The CWS, they follow the Regional format in the two brackets. Once they get to the 2 out of 3 series, then the higher seeded team
Is home in the first game and the lower seeded team is home in the next game and I think it flips back to the higher seeded team if there is a game 3. I don't think there is a coin flip.
It is not because ESPN hates LSU

I could have sworn I remember Ole Miss being home on Saturday?
Never mind maybe not lol I don't remember.

Heard announcers say that at some point (didn't understand when that is) the home team is determined by who had been home team less in previous tourney games. But like I said, not sure when this applies

For the SEC tournament I don't really care, but I was never on board with the coin flip in the supers.

Not sure if baseball will be the same, but for softball supers, the higher seed is automatically the home team if there is Game 3. I heard it being discussed during the LSU-JMU super.

For first-round games during championship competition, the highest-seeded team shall be designated as
the home team. In subsequent games, the home team shall be determined according to a formula applied
by the games committee.
In determining which of two teams in any game will be the home team, the games committee or the
NCAA game representative shall designate the home team using the following guidelines:
1. The institution that has been the home team the fewer number of times in that particular tournament.
2. If the two teams are equal in this respect but unequal in the number of times they were the visitor,
then the team that has been the visitor more often will be designated the home team.
3. If the two teams are equal in the number of times that they have been home and visitor, the games
committee or the NCAA game representative shall observe the following procedures in the order stated:
a. If the two teams have met previously in that particular tournament, the visitor in the previous game
shall be the home team in the game in question
(Exception: In a two-team tournament where both teams have been the home team twice, the fifth game
will be determined by a coin flip);
b. The team that was visitor in its preceding game shall be the home team, unless both teams were visitors
in their preceding games; or
c. If the above procedures do not resolve the matter, the home team shall be determined by coin flip.
